November 18, 200916 yr Stoops was in the national title game last year. I don't see why he leaves when he has a great thing going at OU. How long until Stoops' seat gets hot at OU though? He seems like a good coach IMO, but the media really makes a big deal about OU losing those big games.
November 18, 200916 yr And the family has also been spotted shopping for horse farms in Lexington...  As a Notre Dame supporter, I would love to have Kelly or Stoops..
November 18, 200916 yr If they fire Weis, look for them to do what it takes to hit the homerun with this hire. Kelly is an up and comer, not a big catch yet, they will go after the big names in college FB first and throw crazy numbers at them.

I can't imagine that Urban Meyer isn't going to get the first call. I think that if they approach him at the proper time, he may go. What about this scenario? Meyer to ND. Kelly to UF. Charlie Strong to UC. If Meyer takes the ND job I could see all three as good fits. I don't know if Kelly would want to go to UF, but I'd imagine he'd have to listen. Strong would be a guy UC could get, and he would be a home run IMO for them.
November 18, 200916 yr And the family has also been spotted shopping for horse farms in Lexington... But Notre Dame is in South Bend.
November 18, 200916 yr But Notre Dame is in South Bend. Oh. Thanks for the heads up... :idunno:
November 18, 200916 yr But Notre Dame is in South Bend. Ah, the Holy Land. (and my home during early childhood)
