I was at practice yesterday. I assure you Trinity is not taking this game lightly. We'll be ready for four quarters.

Unbelieveable, if we go by what most are saying on this thread then Male shouldn't even show up. They did look very bad against X but that was one of those nights when nothing went right. They have improved immensely since that game, and yes there are still plenty of Male fans on BGP and we are enjoying the great season we are having and hope it will continue. I have watched Trinity twice this year and they are not unbeatable by any stretch. Should be a good game.

 

 

Not sure if you know, but our friend Alabama Larry is a Male fan. He always picks against the Rocks, and we win. His strategy in this game is to sandbag and pick FOR the Rocks, hoping that his Karma will cause the Rocks to lose. God love him....WE love him...but we don't want Alabama Larry rooting for us. We're much better off when he picks against us.

I don't have prediction on this game but I will say this...it will be very competitive game. Male is a different team with #25 back from injury. Trinity is peaking, as usual, at the right time (just not sure where their ceiling is). It should be another great game in this rivalry.

 

Last thing, there is talk on another site regarding Male students rushing the field should they get the victory. I would strongly discourage this sort of action by the Dawg Pound! I don't think the St. Matthews police will treat you with kiddie gloves if you do!

RockMom, thanks I guess. Most Rock fans know what I'm doing. I'll do almost anything for a Male victory. I respect great football and their programs. I have more Male jackets/hats than most fans, what Coach Redman did for my kid and showing my son respect can never be forgotton and its not football related and 'll be glad to share but will not take away from this thread.

You are a good guy & and understand your passion and support for YOUR TEAM. Just please don't break old habits or traditions and start picking the Rocks....it makes many of us uneasy.:notworthy:

IMO, teams that run Cover 1 and Cover 0 a lot tells me that the coach does not take the time needed to coach the secondary.

Bob Redman has had athletes out the wazoo for years and for the most part when you have more and better athletes than your opponent it doesn't matter. Or if your opponent is a run heavy team then you can usually stuff them like that. The biggest problem Red has had over the last few years was when Trinity installed the passing offense we have now. All you need to do is get 1 guy past them and have a QB that can get it to them and you are set.

 

Not many teams can pass like that yet.

Trinity has improved greatly over the past few weeks. The pass rush from all four down positions seems quicker. Even though Shelby Co. competed passes, T didn't give up the big play and they tackled well; two things T didn't do well in the St. X game.

 

I see a similar outcome with Trinity winning 35 - 10.

I understand that....but often times a Cover "0" can make the run team go and go and go again....often times leading to high play number drives to score. We all know the more plays you run, the higher the chance for error. You're right, Redman coached teams have their corners with their backs to the ball....that is bad news in the running game.....most teams don't exploit it too much. I hope we will.

I just hope Coach "I didn't see nothin' & I don't know nothin" - does not change a thing !!!!!

RockMom, my son will be with me decked out in Bama stuff. We will easy to find. We get there early and usually set around the 10/20 yardline. Of all the people on BGPs he has mention RM the most. Hope you go, and anybody else who wants to visit.
