Not once have I suggested CW is garbage, I just disagree with him being the best offensive mind of our generation :idunno: 24 points is the seventh lowest total for a Super Bowl winner since Super Bowl XI. The Pats also have a total under that. So yea... point totals of 21 and 24 do not in any way suggest that that team got it done with offense first in those Super Bowls. Sorry man. I was typing that while writing a paper for my History class (15 pages minimum after the Introduction...ugh:puke:) and just wasn't wanting to argue any more on the thread. I didn't even go back and read it till you commented on it:laugh:. Even in his first couple of BCS teams, they were not physical at all.

I believe CW played a major role in the development of those three. Especially Quinn. If you watched him play in the two years before CW it wasn't pretty. I think Clausen has always had the ability but CW has helped him with his decision making and leadership skills.

Jimmy is light years ahead of where he was when he started. Golden Tate, never even played WR until arriving at ND. The offense was ranked almost last in total yardage two years ago. Last I looked they were top 5. I've watched every game over the Weis years. The problem at this point is defense. All three games they lost this year they couldn't stop anybody, when they had to. The defense is way behind the offense. Again even in the Navy game Notre Dame had plenty of chances to score. The kicker had made like 15 straight FG and misses two short ones. There were at least two maybe three TO inside the redzone. You fumble on the one and throw a pick inside the 5 it is going to be hard to win regardless of who the coach is. Charlie has his faults but if you actually watch this team play, they are leaps and bounds above where they were just two years ago, and even last year.
