I think the question and poll should be 'which team has a realistic chance to beat Highlands and win 5A'.

 

I think the better question would be, "which team has a realistic chance to beat Highlands in the entire state of KY!!" I'm in west KY, but I respect Highlands program very much. It would be nice for the media to get off the X and Trinity wagon, and start getting behind the best team in KY.

I agree. I am a Highlands fan, but I cringe whenever I see one of these threads. I can understand why other people would dislike them. These threads are self serving and useless.

This is arguably the greatest Highlands team ever. Let's not assume they will be this good every year, because they aren't.

Seriously,this may or may not be the best team ever at HHS, but I would think that it may be some time before they field a team with this much talent. We all know Highlands has a very,very good team every year, but I think this team is very special. Considering losing the QB and replacing him with a sophomore and all of the other injuries to starting players in key positions, and they are still undefeated is pretty amazing, don't you think?

They already play up 2 classes don't they?

 

By playing up 2 classes they were able to avoid Boyle County, Bell County, Lexington Catholic. The top of 4A is stronger than the top of 5A. It was a calculated decision.

No, they wanted to play in the highest class they could. 6A was not an option in NKY. But the KHSAA makes all those decisions.

Yes, it is pretty amazing regardless of what class they play in or are supposed to play in.
