I am not a Highlands fan. I have been to many of their games over the years and have never cheered for them to win. But for you to think they went up to 5A to avoid any of those teams. That is funny:laugh: And since the 60's (thats how long I have been watching high school football) this is the best Highlands team I have seen. :thumb:

Be careful what you ask for...I predict Highlands is playing 4A when they do the next redistricting. I believe that may happen this off season. Now that Holmes is playing 4A, CCH is a 4A school and HHS is actually 4A based on the current numbers. So now you add one more team and you have a 4A district.

I agree. I am a Highlands fan, but I cringe whenever I see one of these threads. I can understand why other people would dislike them. These threads are self serving and useless.

 

It's just getting so old. The remaining 15 teams in 5A are fighting like dogs to stay alive just to make it to the finals. The Birds Fans continue to blow their own horn and I imagine it will continue on into December. Hands down, Highlands is the best 5A team in KY and will win the state title. How many ways do you need to hear it? Not to say the Highlands team isn't fighting too, but come on, as everyone has pointed out time and again, there doesn't seem to be anyone in their path to stop them. The rest of us less talented, less fortunate, whatever you want to call it....are just hoping to win another game. You folks have waaaaaay too much time on your hands to continue to start threads such as these.

Most? No, however I do remember posters wondering where the teams fit into the overall ranking of teams. I don't recall too many claiming they were the best either year but they were certainly in the conversation.

I know Birdsfan already commented on the blanket statement aspect of this. I assume you did not mean it this way. Every team, well most, have those that will say and post blatantly obvious (sometimes outrageous)things. We seem to have a few more than others. You will just have to trust me when I say that there are more on the flip side of the coin.
