I'll have to predict Ft. Campbell vs. Prestonsburg in the final.

 

 

 

Despite losing to GRC and LCA, I believe Corbin can handle Prestonsburg. They beat Pburg pretty soundly in the playoffs one year ago. I don't think there will be that big of a turnaround from this year to last. As of now, I believe the Semi-State opposite to Ft. Campbell are merely playing for 2nd, anyway.

I don't wanna get that far ahead myself.....I would love to see Fort Campbell in the finals, but I think that they're taking this one week at a time.....and so will I.

 

My week one thoughts......I don't think that there will be any big upsets.

I think that all higher seeds will win the first round...as much as I'd like to see Fort Knox win a playoff game, I don't think they will......but again, as FC says, the games are played on the field.......not online at BGP.

You may be right, but it IS a radically different P-burg offensive scheme. The defense is similiar to last year's, though maybe a step quicker.

It’s great that Fort Campbell is so highly favored, but I agree there is still a lot of football to be played and it’s win or go home now, no time for mistakes.

Corbin is better offensively this year as Watkins was playing hurt in the playoffs and Fritts was out. Defensively may be another story, Corbin is not quite as strong defensively in my opinion. I hope the Hounds can get by this game, should be a good one, but I see the winner of the possible NCC/DeSales game taking on Ft Campbell in the championship game.

I see Lloyd pulling a mild upset at CAL again this year. (3vs2 game)

CAL's noseguard Blake Ramsey is averaging about 4 sacks a game. Could cause trouble for Lloyd. :eek:

Glasgow over Danville. This team is different from the team that got beat by Danville in the first round last year.

 

I don't think so. Danville has been rolling the last 3 weeks and looks more like the old Danville. I think they continue to roll at home.

I was just thinking, What if a school has to shut down for the flu now? I guess that team would have to forfit? If that were so, could knock out some good teams. That would be a hard decision for that schools administration to make.:scared:

I would love to see Prestonsburg in the finals. If FC and Prestonsburg meet it will be speed verses brawn. I know people say speed kills but you can't count out the brawn.

Campbell's punting and kicking were also huge in last year's game, expecially considering Corbin had to play a field position type game due to a lack of big play capability on offense.

 

Corbin has played Hazard, although the playing conditions were terrible that night for a passing team as well as Middlesboro, who I guess would have to be considered a passing team. I'm not sold on Corbin's pass defense, GRC hurt them by the pass, but Corbin had some injuries in the secondary that night, so I'm not certain how that played into the problems. If Corbin gets to play Prestonsburg, I think that this game will be a completely different type of game from last year's. I don't believe that 14 points will beat P-burg this time around.

I agree with you, Hearsay. Danville is finally starting to click. If they continue to play well they could make the playoffs very interesting.
