October 17, 200917 yr He violates the celebration rule at least 2-3 times a game. Yet they flag the Georgia receiver a few weeks back for the same thing. Why not an even enforcement of the rule?
October 17, 200917 yr Because he walks on water, heals the blind, and feeds the poor around the world. Seriously though, it's like all other sports the big players get the calls.

October 17, 200917 yr ^It's a little late for that in my opinion. One could easily argue that apology was basically "Sorry Georgia we didn't mean to cost you the game."

Still though the league did say that it was a blown call by the officials and should not have been a penalty. Scribe said that Tebow did the same thing that the Georgia player was penalized for and I was just saying that if the call against the Georgia player should not have been a penalty then Tebow shouldn't be flagged for it either.
October 17, 200917 yr Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman on CBS last week mentioned race. I'm not sure if it's something or not, but almost all of the SEC officials are white. And they state that black players seem to get unsportsmanlike flags thrown at a higher/earlier rate than do white players. Personally, I have no idea if any of that is true. But it does make you think. Not necessarily that its racism, but perhaps the officials feel the need to get the flag out quicker to slow down celebrations of black players "before they get out of hand," something they don't feel is necessary for a guy like Tebow.

October 17, 200917 yr If they think that they are idiots. Kind of my opinion, too. But it was food for thought.
