CovCath Internet Radio will of course bring the varsity game live plus Mark and his crew will be doing both Middle School Championships football games this Saturday night.

 

Mark broadcasts all of the varsity Football and Basketball games for CCH and has agreed to broadcast the Middle School Championship games for us Saturday Night. Tell your friends and family where ever they maybe to tune in Saturday Night at 6:00 to listen to the broadcast.

The story in the paper is a little bigger than what you see in that link. It is Tuesday. The game is Saturday.

HHS could make this ugly. It depends on what they want to do.

 

I don't think Highlands will hold anything back...if they can win big, they'll win big. If they can win huge, they'll win huge. So if they can make it ugly, it'll be ugly alright. Both Highlands and Cov Cath take the opportunity to give it to the other team with both barrels whenever possible.

How many parents and fans are at practice at Highlands on a given night? I know at Cov Cath there are generally a few varying observers most nights, but from reading the Highlands-related threads week to week, it sounds to me as if the Fort Thomas community has a regular fan section at practice each night.

 

I don't mean to poke fun, but isn't that kind of distracting to the players to have an audience while they're practicing?

Yes, it's very distracting to them. Look at their record and you can see what a devastating effect it's having on them.

The reason it's not distracting is simply the fact that the players and coaches are used to it. The parents and fans sit quietly and listen and watch what's going on. I think the kids actually enjoy the fact that there are a decent number of parents and fans interested enough to be there watching practice.

 

What is funny is when the parents and fans see someone there watching that is not someone they recognize, some folks get all worked up. Jim Bowden showed up the week of the X game. He has a son on the team but some folks didn't recognize Jim. Some of the fans/parents thought it was a X scout or the parent of a X fan snooping. It was actually kind of funny watching some of the Highlands fans get all worked up until Jim's identity was pointed out.
