As I've said before, Tennessee is the only team in the conference that would probably trade QB's with us. :scared:

 

This could be the year we beat them. We're never going to catch them with a worse QB.

I have too much to say about this, but I will leave it at this, Hartline is awful.

There’s a reason Harline’s brother went to Ohio State and he didn’t.

How many people on this board go to practice everyday? While I'm not happy with Hartline again I go to the fact that Joker and Rich see them everyday. I guess I'll just have to trust their judgement over people that never see practice. The SEC does have something to do with QB's having a difficult time, while it's not all on the defenses being that good it does have some bearing. I know Florida is a notch above everyone, but look at what they did to Bradford last year after the record setting year he had against big 12 defenses.

 

You can be great in practices but it must translate to the actual games. I'm not sure if Hartline is doing well in practices or not but if he is, he has to someway translate it to the field.

 

Its quite possible that we have a Josh Carrier on our hands who would tear it up in practice, but couldn't translate it to the games. But instead of basketball, its football we are talking here. I don't care if somebody is an all-star or not in practice, I want a quarterback that will produce on the field, plain and simple.

Didn't someone get mad when I suggested Crompton was the worst QB in the country? Hate to see Juice Williams on that list, but it's probably the truth.

6. Mike “The Punisher” Hartline (Kentucky) – He’s been punishing his coaches, his teammates and Kentucky fans all year for believing in him. In five games, he’s barely passed for 600 yards and he has more interceptions (6) than touchdowns (5). I guess UK used up all their recruiting points getting Andre Woodson, because this guy is terrible.

Not comparing Hartline to Bradford at all. Comparing SEC defenses to big 12 defenses, pay attention:lol:. No offense taken wireman, all I was trying to say is he must be the best we have at this time, or two good coaches would be playing someone else. Didn't our QB coach also coach Peyton Manning, seems he may know a little more than me.

 

Being blessed to coach Peyton Manning doesn't necessarily make you a great coach. Really good players seem to make those x's and o's look a lot better :thumb:

Still for only throwing about 600 yards with more INTs than TDs (and there aren't that many TDs at that...) in 4 games is completely unacceptable. I wanna say about 1/3rd of that total came from the Miami(OH) game so you are looking at about 400 yards with 3 TDs and 6 INTs in 3 games.

Then why doesn't Brooks and Joker see it? That is unless they just don't feel like Mossakowski, Newton, or Fidler are ready? I can understand Mossakowski not being ready because of the surgery on his arm but you can't tell me that Newton or Fidler couldn't do any worse than Hartline right now. Fidler and Newton also bring a stronger arm to the table and most likely more scrambling ability as well.

Brooks keeps saying that Hartline is the best QB UK has. He says the others aren't ready.

No, Cutcliffe was QB coach at UT when Peyton was there.

Hartline is bad, don't get me wrong, but he did just face probably the two best defense's in the country.
