Notre Dame 37 Washington 30

I feel your pain. The way this season has gone with penalties I almost expect the unexpected. I was laughing everytime the announcers would go over a replay of a penalty against ND and sound confused, saying I really didn't see that one. For Pat Hayden to do this is incredible.:irked:

Maybe I'm confused (happens a lot), but I believe the Husky's were up 5 late in the game when I stopped watching. How did that 5 point lead turn into a tie?

12 yard td pass to Rudolf. Went for 2 as the ND runner Hughes was stopped at the 4 and they pushed the pile for 4 yards. Washington drove down to kick a game tying FG from their own 10 yard line forced OT. They converted a 3rd and 10 for 40 yards on the drive. Washington won the toss and deferred. A one yard TD run by Hughes gave the Irish a 37-30 lead and Washington on 4th down threw a pass to the ND 5 and the receiver had the ball and got crushed by two ND defenders and knocked out for a minute and the ball came loose.

I know his helment came off and it was a crushing hit by the safetys, but was it me or did the guy look like he got knocked out cold? What a final play for a game!

Will "close" wins be enough for Charlie?

This is the kind of performance that Notre Dame hasn't had since Charlie has been in South Ben. Golden Tate is money and Claussen is making a great case for the #1 overall pick in the draft come next April.

I think it will, yesterday is an example of a win this team couldn't get in the years previous. I think Notre Dame is extremely close to being back, especially if Claussen and Tate come back next season.

Do you think the Browns would take Clausen? I don't think he goes this year anyway but just curious.

I don't know if they can unless they cut one of their other two quarterbacks loose. The Browns have invested a lot of un-wanted-and un-warranted, if you ask me-cash into Quinn and Anderson, and throwing the kind of money that you would have to throw at Claussen should he come out and the Browns take him in the top 5 would just compound the stiuation. The Browns have a lot of problems, and if I were Claussen and the Browns wanted to take me, I'd pull an Eli Manning. If he comes back, he runs the risk of getting injured ala Sam Bradford, but he also has a serious chance at getting to a BCS Title Game. If it looks like the Browns want to take Claussen, I'd come back or hold out and demand a trade. That organization would ruin him IMO.

I never heard of it until then.

I will second that.:ylsuper:

For UC's sake I hope so.

He was definately out. He was fencing with his arms just like Tebow did when he got blasted. I thought the announcers and network should have said something about him and given an update. He was seriously hit.

My daughter told me it did not take him long to get up and he walked off.
