I disagree, I'd take Bradford in a heartbeat over Clausen.

I wouldn't define Bradford as a pro style QB. I consider him to be a spread QB. Of the five games I watched last year, he ran about 80% out of the gun. Clausen, pre toe injury, ran predominately from under center. Additionally, Clausen's arm is stronger than Bradford's. Bradford is great, but injury or no, this year I would take Clausen.

Have you watched him yet this year??? That's not too far off. He has a cannon and is making good decisions. I wouldn't put in in a spread option offense, but if you are looking pro style, there isn't a better QB.

He said he would take him over any QB in the nation... meaning college right?

Tebow, Bradford and McCoy are in a class above Jimmy, no question.

"No question?"

I can't agree with that part.

What offense are you trying to run? Pro? Go with Claussen. Spread? Go with one of the 3 listed.

Claussen will be the best pro IMO.

Jimmy has 44 touchdowns in his career and Bradford threw 50 last year.

Jimmy has had a great start to this season and very well may be the best pro. The others are more proven and have been consistent winners. Attribute that to talent around or whatever, but they have way better career numbers and way more wins.

I'd take Tebow in any type of offense that you named. Right or wrong, the kid is a champion and is that much better than any other quarterback in college right now. I agree that Claussen will make the best pro.

I find it entertaining that beating Washington, at home, in overtime, brings ND fans this much joy. Obviously, Washington beat USC a few weeks ago, but this is not a great win. Washington didn't win a game last year.

ND is a top 50 team, but not top 25. They're the beneficiary of a relatively weak schedule.

I'm sorry, but who is this Claussen you all are speaking of? :walk:

Solid post. In reality, many ND fans thought they would be 5-0 at this point in the season and they aren't. Jimmy has been awesome, especially in the close ones, but the team as a whole is very suspect.

I agree with those 3. I would put Clausen in the 2nd tier with the likes of the kids from Ole Miss and Washington.

They very easily could be sitting 2-3 right now...:thumb:

Jevan Snead & Locker.

Or 5-0. The past couple of seasons in going down the stretch with those teams in those situations, they would be 2-3. Claussen is a big reason for that.

Jevan Snead & Locker.

He is better than Jevan Snead. Snead was over hyped big time coming in to this season.

Notre Dame's Schedule:

Wins:

Nevada -> 1-3 with their only win over UNLV.

Michigan State -> 2-3 with their only wins over Montana State & a mediocre Michigan team.

@ Purdue -> 1 - 4 with their only win over Toledo. Losses to Northern Illinois & Northwestern.

Washington -> 2-3 with wins over Idaho & USC. They didn't win a game last year.

Loss:

@ Michigan -> 4-1 with wins over Eastern & Western Michigan. Very close game with Indiana (who barely beat EKU & Western Michigan).

I agree with that on both fronts. :thumb:
