September 25, 200916 yr ^ I would never want to be accused of being unfair... I hate the Red Sox too.
September 25, 200916 yr It's almost time for an ARod 1-24 streak. I can't wait. :lol::clap::banana::ylsuper::thumb:
September 26, 200916 yr Author 3-3 with a homer and 4 RBIs in the opening game with the Red Sox. ^^^^ but this wasn't really a big game, was it?
September 26, 200916 yr Even if the Yanks make it to the Fall Classic the only NL team I think they could beat is the Rockies and maybe the Dodgers. I think the Red Sox beat the Yankees anyway. Alabama Larry I would hope a guy making 30 million a year would have a good game every now and then
September 26, 200916 yr I dont see the Yankees loosing a playoff game with all the threats they have.
September 26, 200916 yr 3-3 with a homer and 4 RBIs in the opening game with the Red Sox. ^^^^ but this wasn't really a big game, was it? It's still September. Just wait a few more days :ylsuper:
September 29, 200916 yr Author Next few days^^^Yanks will be resting while your team tries to get in which ever is your team? :popcorn:
September 29, 200916 yr Next few days^^^Yanks will be resting while your team tries to get in which ever is your team? :popcorn: My team wasn't fortunate enough to spend the gross domestic product of Japan on our roster, but they still play hard :thumb:
September 29, 200916 yr Author Dice K? Oh you mean our guy who we have had for 5 years. Hey let me have some fun, because the Twins/Tigers might knock us out and I'll have to eat some crow and listen to you people. :banana:
September 29, 200916 yr Dice K? Oh you mean our guy who we have had for 5 years. Hey let me have some fun, because the Twins/Tigers might knock us out and I'll have to eat some crow and listen to you people. :banana: If the Yankees are fortunate enough to play MY Cards in the W.S. then we will have one heck of a series. Albert Pujols in New York would be fun.
September 29, 200916 yr 3-3 with a homer and 4 RBIs in the opening game with the Red Sox. ^^^^ but this wasn't really a big game, was it? Not reallly. The Yanks were in the playoffs and Boston would have to endure a monumental collapse not to make it. The Sox came in 5.5 games back with with 10 games to play (9 for the Yanks). They'd have had to sweep and still get help. Odds are you aren't going to gain 6 games on a 100 win team in a week and a half. And, since their playoff spot is pretty secure, there was little at stake in this series. JMO I still don't think Boston wanted to get swept, so kudos to the Yanks on that, but ultimately, this series meant about as little as a Yankees/Red Sox series can mean.
September 29, 200916 yr If the Yankees are fortunate enough to play MY Cards in the W.S. then we will have one heck of a series. Albert Pujols in New York would be fun. When does his contract expire?
September 29, 200916 yr Angels, Tigers and RedSox haven't spent any money though.... that is one thing that I can't stand about Yankee haters. They make it out like they are the only teams that spend money. They spend a ton but if you look at the teams in the playoffs it's people like Boston, St Louis, Dodgers, Angels etc that all go out and spend on free agency too. Yanks overpay but they aren't the only ones guilty of spending on free agents. Exactly. The Yankees overspend and outbid for some free agents each year and pay the penalty (luxury tax) for doing so. It is the system in place. Teams in how they spent money and their rankings: NY (1), Boston (4), Detroit (5), LA Angels (6), Philly (7), LA Dodgers (9), Atlanta (11), St. Louis (13), Colorado (18), Minnesota (24). It is hard to say baseball has figured it out when 8 out of the 10 teams that have either clinched or the only ones left with a shot to make the playoffs are in the upper half of teams spending money. People can bash the Yankees for not winning titles, but the proof shows your odds are a lot better to win it all if you are willing to spend money.
September 29, 200916 yr My team wasn't fortunate enough to spend the gross domestic product of Japan on our roster, but they still play hard :thumb: There is no need to be upset at a team that is superior to yours. Just accept the fact that the Yankees are best in baseball. It will be ok, we will remember you when we lift the trophy.:dancingpa
