Yanks back into the playoffs

Featured Replies

Back in April I remember telling the Yankee bashers the season is a long one and I wasn't worried. Now that they have made it come playoff time we need better starting pitching and now I'm worried. I'm gald to be a Yankee fan and looking forward to the playoffs.

I still look for the BoSox to be their #1 deterrant from reaching the WS.

^ Good for them, I'd hate to see that $200 million payroll go to waste. Every year they don't make the playoffs should be considered botched management. They pay their team more than both teams currently competing for the Central division put together. The Yanks' starting infield makes more than the entire Twins roster.

For the Yankees, making the playoffs ought to be expected. Winning a World Series is the only laudable performance for them at this point.

Yanks won't make it to the World Series, and I doubt they'll make it out of the first round of the playoffs.

Funny to see the other 3 AL playoff teams (Angels, Tigers, and Red Sox) have all given the Yankees trouble whenever it comes playoff time.

I think they beat the Tigers/Twins and then fall to the BoSox again....Remember, the Sox own the Angels come postseason play.

At least we are there was my point. Haven't won it since 2000, I mentioned our starting pitching.

They should make the playoffs.

They should make the playoffs.

You do know they've already clinched don't you?

^

I agree with everyone else, and by saying that the Yanks won't win the World Series this year.

Ok the should have.

^ I think Bandit is echoing the same sentiments I made above. The Yankees should be expected to make the playoffs. Them not making the playoffs is news because it's outside the ordinary and below the expectations for the roster they've put together.

:confused::lol:

They have clinched.

He just means that with the payroll they bost, they should have clinched the division, like they did, and should clinch every year from hear on out based on the size of their payroll. Agree, disagree with this statement?

Angels, Tigers and RedSox haven't spent any money though.... that is one thing that I can't stand about Yankee haters. They make it out like they are the only teams that spend money. They spend a ton but if you look at the teams in the playoffs it's people like Boston, St Louis, Dodgers, Angels etc that all go out and spend on free agency too. Yanks overpay but they aren't the only ones guilty of spending on free agents.
