Lit Ratings tend to be off until the end of the year. At which point they are usually a good indicator of who will walk away with the title in the respective classes.

I feel for Paducah Tilghman having to play Ft Campbell this friday. They might want to keep the buses running for PT, this will be over quick.

Note: November 3rd, 2006 was Ft. Campbell's last loss to a 2A school.

It doesn't matter, except for the fact that it completely discounts Fort Campbell’s record, recent history, and true ability. So in other words it’s useless and not worth the paper it’s printed on, and I just want to make that perfectly clear.

 

Agree with post Lit rating have always been off. Seems they go by how bad you beat a team not who you beat. I am Monroe Co. fan but any 2A ranking that does not have Fort Campbell No1 is silly.

How does any raking, computer, voter, etc... rank a team who hasn’t lost to a 2A team since November 3rd, 2006, and is the two time defending champions in their class ranked 15th???? Come on! Fort Campbell is like 30-3 over the last three years! Completely ridiculous. I would be embarrassed to publish this crap. 15th with almost half of 2A ranked above them?? Come on! I can’t believe they actually published it.

 

Man that is some disrepect there, Fort Campbell needs to be at least the top 5 in 2A. I mean the FC should be in the top 15 in all the classes in the whole state really.

How can Shelby Valley be ranked so high in 2A? What have they done to achieve such a lofty ranking?

I can understand how the Falcons are ranked so low if the rankings are computer based and it's based on their performance against KY teams. Computers can't take into account all of the details that FC has mentioned, but with that being said, it's ridiculous that it's still a 15 ranking.

 

Oh well......the Falcons will do their own ranking system on the field against KY teams....and it all starts with Paducah Tilghman.

After Scribe posted the reason why Fort Campbell was ranked 15th I understood the point that their first three games did not count in the formula. However, he then asked me to come down off the ledge and I figured I’d just jump for entertainment sake. Maybe I went a little overboard with my criticism of the rankings, because like some have mentioned, they really have no affect on what happens on Friday night. Bill is right, Fort Campbell will take of business on the field regardless of whether they are ranked 1st or 30th.

I'm thinking it will be a little more closer to accurate next week.

FC: You have already stated all that really matters! I know where the 07 & 08 2A Championship trophies are kept and also have a pretty good idea where the 09 trophy is going!! Lets move on to something else.
