I can't believe noone is talking about Lady Gaga. As Mike Tyson once said about himself: "That is a curious individual." That performance was so elaborately staged and completely bizarre that I'm still trying to figure out what I saw. I'm pretty sure there was a guy wearing ladies' underwear as a facemask.

It wouldn't be faulty if you were discussing something that couldn't be disputed with facts. Whether a view is in the minority or majority doesn't matter, it's still your personal opinion. You can't tell somebody how they feel is wrong unless there are facts to prove it, you can only disagree with them.

You're very correct but if no one got the gist of what rap music is all about then no one would understand it :idunno: It's a lot more than the songs you hear on the radio and immediately develop a dislike for that particular artist.

Like I said earlier, there has been some stuff by Kayne that I've liked a lot but for the most part I don't like his music at all. And for the record, while I'm quite picky with my music, I listen to my fair share of rap.

It's a faulty opinion. I could say the Beatles play the worst music ever, but it's not true, and I know that. I hate the Beatles music but I would never say they're music isn't great. It's great for that genre, but I personally don't like it. You can't simply say Kanye doesn't make good music. If you don't know what you're talking about, who are you to judge?

Wow, that was easier than you said it would be.

The songs on radio are always geared more towards pop culture and what sounds the coolest rather than what is lyrically distinguished.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, so for the record.... I knew that. :D

I definitely had the sarcasm on a little in that post :D.

But I'm still a believer that your own opinion on whether or not music is good or bad is completely up to you. Your opinion on something can not be misinformed .

BoondockSaint's opinion is BoondockSaint's opinion. It is not faulty or misinformed. Whether or not he likes Kanye West is completely up to him and it is not based on any bad information. It's based on his own taste for music.

Saying "the Beatles play the worst music ever" if stated as fact would not be a valid statement. If it were stated with "I think" in front of it, it is an opinion and can not really be disputed because that is up to the person who made the statement.

Is his "caps lock" key stuck?

I have a weird feeling he actually didn't want to apologize.

I understand that but I was trying to explain that if you don't have much substance (for lack of better word) behind what you're basing you're opinion off of than the opinion is nearly worthless. You may not like Kanye's music but my assumption is that you haven't heard the best of it.

How do you know how much of it BoondockSaint has heard?

I've heard a lot of Kanye's music and everything I've heard from him has been absolute junk. My opinion isn't misinformed or faulty. It's what I believe and nothing will change that.

I stopped watching award shows years ago when George Michael won black artist of the year on one of them.

Very nice.

Beyonce Knowles:

1) She's all class. Very cool thing she did with Taylor Swift.

2) She's definitely um...talented.
