September 15, 200917 yr Could have fooled me. His mother was a professor at a University in Chicago. He is an educated person, but even educated people can act like fools sometimes.

September 15, 200917 yr His mother was a professor at a University in Chicago. He is an educated person, but even educated people can act like fools sometimes. Sometimes? He's always in the news for the rude things he does. Obviously, money and talent don't equate to manners and class.
September 15, 200917 yr When you are listed as the number 4 earning rapper with well over in 42 million dollars a year in earnings from concerts and record sales I think your name and great rapper are in the same sentence. Your statement is akin to saying that Drew Brees isn't a good quarterback just because you don't like him or how he plays. Yes, it is your opinion, but it is not a fact. Kanye is indeed a great rapper, even though you think his rapping is awful is your opinion. Your opinion doesn't erase his earnings or the overwhelming majority of people worldwide who have proven that he is a great rapper. Non great rappers don't earn 42 million per year for their non great rapping. Just saying:idunno: I know you guys are going to feel what you feel and say what you say, I just had to throw my 2 cents in. For the record, I like some of his music, but not all of it. He is indeed very talented. I say he's bad and it's my opinion, you say he's good and it's fact?:lol::lol::lol: I could name about 20 rappers who I believe are awful rappers and yet are millionaires so that argument doesn't hold any water. I'm sure there are plenty of bands out there you think are awful but yet sell the heck out of their albums. In the end, it's doesn't matter. It's an OPINION. I don't think he's a good rapper, you do. Neither of us are right or wrong because for the millionth time, that is our OPINION.
September 15, 200917 yr Well then, she's rolling over in her grave. Probably, but at the same time, this is the 3rd time he has acted out in an unpredictable and uncalled for manner. While she likely wouldn't approve, she witnessed the other two incidents and would not have been surprised, much like I wasn't. I am quite sure she would have let him know she was disappointed in his behavior.

September 15, 200917 yr Sometimes? He's always in the news for the rude things he does. Obviously, money and talent don't equate to manners and class. Nope, and it never will. It'd be wrong for people to think that it does.
September 15, 200917 yr How does that excuse his behavior? I'm not excusing it. I just thought it was funny.
September 15, 200917 yr Just re-read your post. My fault, read it wrong. Is it safe to assume you don't like rap at all? I enjoy rap quite a bit, but I'm a rather picky person when it comes to music in all genres. In general, I think about 75% of most music sucks including rock and rap, some may call me Jim Schue Jr. Although I do think about 95% of country sucks.
September 15, 200917 yr Do you really think there are only 5 millionaire rappers? If you think Lil Wayne is bad then that is fine, it's not a fact that he's a good rapper, only that his music is popular. I'd be willing to bet that there are more people on the planet that think Wayne is awful then there are that think he is great. If that's true, they why does it matter how many records he sells? Because bad rappers don't get record deals, let alone earn 50 million a year. I know good rappers who can't get record deals, let alone the bad ones.

It's easier to discuss Kanye's alleged greatness if you at least listen to some rap.
September 15, 200917 yr I'm not excusing it. I just thought it was funny. And the reason people keep getting by with stuff like this, is because there are people who encourage them for that type of behavior. You, PP92, are an enabler!
September 15, 200917 yr Fair enough. It's easier to discuss Kanye's alleged greatness if you at least listen to some rap. I can listen to anything by Biggie, Jay-Z or Lupe Fiasco and do so on a weekly basis. After that, it comes down to a song by song basis for me.
