Where did you find a video? I found audio but no video.

Well it's a youtube clip of the audio.

Taylor Swift should be thinking Kanye west right now... she just got some free pub...you can actually google her now... I didnt even know who she was?:idunno:

How long have you been living under a rock?

Which you somehow found funny?

How ruining a moment someone else has worked very hard for can ever be termed funny is beyond me.

I can think of plenty of other words; indignant, rude, disrespectful, callous......funny was one word that never crossed my mind.

If she has worked hard for a "VMA" moonman trophy for her entire life, then she should aim a lot higher, maybe a Grammy or two. Grammy's are way more respectable than a moonman trophy. It's the VMA's for crying out loud. The whole moment is funny to me. Like I said, he was wrong for what he did, and I laughed. As much as MTV has done to entertainers over the years( a certain incident with Sasha Baron Cohen and Eminem comes to mind) my first reaction to anything "out of the ordinary" during an MTV award show is to laugh. Which is what I did. All Kanye did was ruin a moment. He didn't talk trash to her. He didn't physically or verbally assault her. He ruined a moment. A moment that someone as talented as her is going to have over and over for the next 5-10 years. Kanye is notorious for doing stupid stuff at MTV awards shows. This is not the first time he has done something like that. I laugh at things like that because I do not take life that seriously. If this moment has Taylor Swift scarred today, then she is a fragile individual. Period. It is really not that big of a deal. IMO. If that makes me classless, then so be it. I've been called much worse. I'm not a huge Kanye fan anyways, but incidents such as these are what I call unintentional comedy, and that's what it was. I am sure Taylor Swift will be fine after Kanye ruined her "VMA" moment. If she isn't, then I pray for her psyche.

I never said Kanye wasn't indignant, rude and disrespectful but when you mix a room full of egotistical maniacs along with alcohol and whatever drugs some of them were using before, during and after the awards show, then why is anyone surprised at anything that goes on at these events? Seriously.....

Not to mention that had he done this to someone like say, Lady Gaga, nobody would even be talking about this anymore.

Someone with the name Hip-Hop Box is not likely to know who Taylor Swift is. I didn't know who she was until I heard her song on the youtube clip. Sorry, Taylor Swift is not on my ipod playlist.

I like ya PP, but sandman is spot on with this one

I like you too, Rocket. I am glad we can agree to disagree without calling each other names.:thumb:

That's classy.:thumb:

Guilt by association, that's how it goes. And, no matter who he did it to he's a classless clown. On top of the other times he acted like an idiot.

You can like his music, you can purchase his albums, fine. But to say the humiliation of a 19 year old by a 32 year old "adult" is funny, IMO, is no different than condoning said act. But that's on you.

I think it was all premeditated. Six months now I expect a Taylor Swift/Kanye West joint to be the #1 song in the land and it will sell like gangbusters because of this.

Also I think I saw Vince McMahon lurking around in the back.

I think you are missing the point. No one works hard for a particular award. They work hard to produce quality work. The fact that it's recognized by whatever entity is a reward, and in the case of the VMA's, isn't it also an indication of the public's approval?

The fact that people are surprised is that Kanye's actions exceeded even the furthest boundaries of acceptable social behavior. I'm certain there were many in the room who felt that another video was more deserving...because of their personal feelings. But no one else, including the performers in the same category objected to the award being given to Taylor Swift.

Not only did Kanye West display extraordinary disrespect to Taylor Swift, but he put Beyonce in a really compromising position. Of course she was hoping for the award. But he put her in an embarrassing poistion. Kanye was disrespectful to: Taylor Swift, Beyonce, the audience, the people who decided the award. His actions were out of the realm of even normal disagreement, and were completely inappropriate. Even if he had done this to Lady Gaga, I believe the same reaction by the public would be appropriate. IMO, it's not about Taylor's age, nor the genre of her music. It's about Kanye's deliberate disrespectfulness.

The people who think this is funny are in the wrong. There is no situation where I feel rudeness and disprespect are funny. None. I don't want to call you classless. I'd be more likely to characterize you as insensitive and possibly unenlightened. :D. Please don't tell me you laugh when people get hurt too.
