AP Top 25

Featured Replies

Let's open up a new discussion. Thoughts on teams with such weak schedules bieng ranked. Example BYU, who in my opinion couldn't beat Notre Dame who fell out of the top 25. BYU should continue to win out the rest of their schedule. With that bieng said, since they're ranked 7 now will they ever fall below that?

Whether or not BYU deserves to be ranked in the top 10 is in question, HOWEVER the fact that it was still a 7-7 ball game when Bradford was still in the game and the half was almost over seems to indicate that BYU is a very good football team. Would they have won the game if Bradford didn't get hurt? We will never know. I think as long as they continue to win their games they will stay just about where they are or move up (depending on what the teams around them do during game week).

Rutgers that was picked by many of the experts to win the league. We'll find out a lot more about this team in 6 days...

Which made no sense to me.

Agreed. Rutgers has an offensive situation like ours last season where there were a plethra of questions at the WR and QB positions.

BYU is not the seventh best team in the country, plain and simple. But with the way this system works if they keep winning they will stay put, but when they lose they will plummet.

I would like to see Florida and Texas win out, and see two undefeated teams go at it in the BCS championship game.

UC with a nice jump from 23 to 17...
I think top 10 isn't out of the question by years end.

The SEC Championship could very easily see, an undefeated Florida vs either an undefeated Bama or Ole Miss.

BYU schedule:

Sept. 5 - Oklahoma (neutral site in name only; Dallas)

Sept. 19 - Florida State (H)

Oct. 24 - TCU (H)

Nov. 28 - Utah (H)

Conference games against a league that is usually 6th or 7th best in the country and likely just as good as the Big East this year. Why shouldn't they be ranked high and remain high?

Prove it.

A) You can't. Anything more is simply opinion.

B) If you could, we'd call it a playoff.

We do have a "playoff"...started two weeks ago.

It is opinion, thats what his board is mostly opinions. So in that case BYU has beaten an OU team that didn't have thier star player, and Tulane who lost to Tulsa pretty bad if I might add. I'm just not sold on them yet.

Question

If UK comes out and puts a beat down on UL will they be ranked next week?
