Exceeded what expectations? You just said they were expected to do big things this year. They have by no means done that. So IMO UC has not really done anything note worthy except pound a couple of scrubs.

I don't believe I said they were expected to do big things this year. I said I expect them to now after watching them. Going into the season I don't think people thought they'd look as good as they have.

There were ZERO expectations for this UC team by almost everyone around college football. What point are you trying to make???

BK has won 10 games or more both seasons he's coached at UC, something I doubt many expected. They won their conference outright for the first time last year, and did that with their 200th string Quarterback, and they were relevant in football for the first time since 1897. I'd say it turned some heads and exceeded many expectations. Wasn't last year's WVU team supposed to run away with that conference?

Read the context of the sentence closely, I was referring to Rutgers. He said Rutgers had high expectations for thier team this year. Rutgers came into the conversation because someone said UC has started off hot and I begged to differ because they have played no one. IMO Rutgers isn't that great of an opponent. How good can a team be when they get blasted at home??

You are correct. I made the mistake of mixing up Boise St.'s schedule with BYU's. However I still dont see #7 bieng correct.

Same here. I think they are about 12.

Right NOW, there appears to be a sizeable gap between Florida and whatever team gets the #2 ranking. Of course, all it takes is one "Mississippi stumble" to change all that.

I don't think I said Rutgers came in with extremely high expectations and that they're so amazing. But they DID come in as the favorite to win the game convincingly. UC didn't come in with very high expectations at all, therefore; they have exceeded expectations. Aside from that, just from watching them, I feel that as a team they look good offensively and defensively. Oregon St. will tell alot, but I think they match up well against them. I don't know why you're not understanding what I have said. I guess I'm just not conveying it properly.

I FULLY understand what you are saying. There is a difference between understanding and agreeing. All I'm trying to say is UC hasn't really done much, and people ( not you ) want to send them to another BCS game already.

By the way Rutgers was 5.5 favorite thats not really being expected to whoop somebody. :thumb:

Everyone I talked to and everything I read had Rutgers whooping them. I don't put much stock into that stuff anyways, but it was just that the expectation was exceeded for UC was my only point. I'm not ready to crown them National Champions better than FL lol, but I think they are definitely worthy of their ranking. And it's okay, trust me, I disagree with a lot of people, and I let them know about it. lol

Question

If UK comes out and puts a beat down on UL will they be ranked next week?

Not a chance, nor should they.

:thumb: Beating UL would be far from impressive at this point.

UL will have to show more than what they did in the opener for it to be any more impressive.

UK will get more votes but they won't be ranked. They don't deserve it either.
