How about if UK comes out and puts a beat down on Uofl, will they even get a vote next week?

Yes.

UK's chance to get votes all comes down to the games after Louisville. With Florida and Alabama in back to back weeks after U of L, UK's chance to shine will come later. Of course UK could start out 2-0 and be 2-4 a month from this Saturday. Their schedule gets brutal after this week until Louisiana Monroe on October 24.

Didn't they get a few votes after they beat down Miami OH?

And another question.... It's ealry in the season BUT if UK comes out and puts a beat down on UL do you think they deserve to be in the top 25?

No.

UC with a nice jump from 23 to 17...

Hope they keep moving up. I really like what I see of them. I love Gilyard as a player, just all around.

Against the likes of Rutgers and Southeast Missouri State. I'll wait until they play someone worthy..

Rutgers was picked by MANY to win the game and the game was looked at as possibly the Big East championship game...the first game. And UC annihilated them. A big test will be this upcoming game, but to say Rutgers wasn't a worthy opponent...I'll give you SEMO, but not Rutgers.

No. You have to see what they do against Florida and Alabama. That's brutal. They could either catapult into the 25, or completely get wiped...

What has Rutgers done? You act like they beat a top 10 team. Just because they are predicted to do something doesn't mean they are going to do it.

No.

:thumb: Beating UL would be far from impressive at this point.

I'm not saying Rutgers has done anything of value, or that they are a top 10 team. But all a team, (UC in this situation) can do is play a good ball game and exceed the expectations that everyone had for them. They have more than done that, handily beating both opponents so far and watching them offensively and defensively, it seems they have a real good thing. A true test is this week and will really show what they have...but I think Rutgers was enough of a quality team to say that UCs offense and defense really looked that good. SEMO not so much.

Exceeded what expectations? You just said they were expected to do big things this year. They have by no means done that. So IMO UC has not really done anything note worthy except pound a couple of scrubs.

BYU schedule:

Sept. 5 - Oklahoma (neutral site in name only; Dallas)

Sept. 19 - Florida State (H)

Oct. 24 - TCU (H)

Nov. 28 - Utah (H)

Conference games against a league that is usually 6th or 7th best in the country and likely just as good as the Big East this year. Why shouldn't they be ranked high and remain high?

You are correct. I made the mistake of mixing up Boise St.'s schedule with BYU's. However I still dont see #7 bieng correct.

If I were doing the Top 10, I'd go with:

1.Florida

2.USC

3.Alabama

4.Texas

5.Penn State

6.Ole Miss

7.California

8.LSU

9.BYU

10.Boise State/Oklahoma/Ohio State/Virginia Tech/Georgia Tech.

Oklahoma State falls big time for me, I figured they would just be a 2009 version of Texas Tech with a better D. I didn't think they were legit and the loss to Houston drops them to the 20-25 Range.

Miami, Michigan and Nebraska look to make serious top 10 moves if they can win two more, especially with Nebraska going to Blacksburg and Miami playing Georgia Tech in the 305
