No problem with it coming back to the Fieldhouse, It is a great atmosphere and alot of tradition. I also like the scheduling much better allows more people to attend games! Should be a great year in the 10th alot of excitement!!!!

I too suspect that the admission charge will be $5 per head, per session as in the past.

I'm glad to see that the opening round games are joint session games, and not single split-session games as in the recent past. I think that the attendance figures will improve under this arrangement, and at very least prove beneficial to all who wish to attend opening round games.

The finals on Monday is also a throw-back to the way the tournament was scheduled in the past. Not saying that it is right or wrong.

DELETE!

You know what they say, you get what you pay for :D I need a smiley where he's throwing gas on a fire..

Thank you lord the 10th is back to its HOME and lets mount a campaign amongest "real" tenth region fans to keep it there! Let Montgomery go to the 16th or 1st region or set up shop in West Virginia for all I care and leave the NKU experiment just that an experiment! Mason county and the Fieldhouse are the only places for the 10th region tourney! And when I say "real" tenth region fans I mean those in Mason, Bracken, Robertson, Pendleton, Harrison counties for which these are the people who have supported this tournament for years and made it the envy of the state of Kentucky!

So, let me get this straight, if I do not live in Mason, Bracken, Robertson, Pendleton or Harrison counties, I am not a "real" fan. :madman:

I will continue to be a REAL Camels fan. I will travel to Maysville on March 4th and we will see you at NKU again in 3 years.

While you are now a member of the 10th region family, honestly, many will always see you as a NKY interloper just visiting the 10th region core family of the counties he mentioned.

Sorry, just stating the facts.

I was going to fix the "oh brother" that was to be a smiley, but I decided I liked it the way it was.

He's right!

The 10th Region is a very deep-rooted, tradition-rich enclave.

The core of the 10th Region is the old burley belt faction that has been united ad infinitum. The rest of us are just passsing through.

We (Brossart) have worked hard over the years to earn the acceptance and respect of the 10th Region, and feel that we have done a creditable job of doing so, while making some contributions along the way. You don't gain universal acceptance by a writ of the KHSAA - you earn your way in. Some of us have embraced it and others have chosen to live on its fringe.

Much like religon and politics, the merits of the Fieldhouse as the site of the 10th Region tournament has been discussed over and again. Those in favor are very strongly in favor, and those opposed are staunch in their resolve.

The decision of where to host the tournament was made by the KHSAA when they put the rotating responsibility in the hands of the individual districts that comprise our region.

Each district has its special interests and these are satisfied, each in their own turn.

It really doesn't matter where the region is played at.

The best team has won the last two years.

I guess if your a Mongomery County or Mason County fan it would be good, but playing a Regional game on someone's home court is not ideal or really fair.
