There is an outside chance that not only will each participating 10th Region team earn $5,000 but that all of the teams in the 10th Region could conceivably receive some share monies.

Its called a vote by the other districts as to where the site is. This year the 38th district voted the tournament to be held at Mason County. Next years turn is the 39th so that would be why this has happened.

That is the nature of postseason basketball, anyone can win if they get hot at the right time. Looking back on 2007, it could have easily been Brossart vs. Scott in the final. Mason barely overcame a Class "A" Champion Brossart team and GRC was a few missed Scott High foul shots from hitting the bus back to Winchester. If those scenarios unfold, we are not having this discussion. I for one feel lucky to be in the 10th region where we have a chance to advance on a yearly basis. The 11th region has a neutral site, but even the all might Scott County struggles to make it to Rupp Arena. Things could be much worse for GRC if there is a realignment.

While you are now a member of the 10th region family, honestly, many will always see you as a NKY interloper just visiting the 10th region core family of the counties he mentioned.

It is a great rotation, but it is a shame that the 38th would not take the guarantee that NKU offered. They were willing to make it $5,000 per team if they signed a two year deal. I did not hear about Mason putting up any money.

However, as previously stated the BOK dropped the ball with their public relation skills. That was a major turn off to some and a big reason the 38th went with Mason County for the 2010 tournament. Not to mention the 10th region finals playing second fiddle to the 9th region finals.

Where did you come up with this? I am from the tenth region and didn't feel that way at all. That's like saying the first game in the final four in college is second fiddle to the last game. I enjoyed watching two region finals at the same venue.:confused:

The trophy presentation was like a cattle call and Mason had very little time to celebrate before they were pushed off the floor to get ready for the second game. This is my opinion and I guess we will agree to disagree on this one! :thumb:

I took it you thought the 38th district people had that opinion since they made the choice to go to Mason. My opinion on the bolded part is that people from Mason Co are the only ones that felt like they were second fiddle not everyone else. Also they shouldn't feel that way they won and got to celebate, be happy and not so critical.
