Great game for Greenup. Well, atleast a great win anyway. Still some things to work on but as we all know no team is perfect. Thought they did alot of good things but still need to get rid of the mental mistakes and work on defending the pass. We got two weeks to work out the kinks and then get back at it under the new lights.

Greenup believed they could win and then went out and turned that belief into reality. They never gave up and played with heart and determination. We have next week off and time to keep working on the details before we play at home against Dawson Bryant under our new lights!. Congratulations to the Musketeers.

Come on Raceland is 1-3 not 3-7 that is a myth. The Rams will not fall apart, it just takes time getting the younger starters on the team up to speed. My thinking is I feel sorry for the teams they play next. This team will rally behind there coachs and come out fighting, in that they will make a late season run.

I think Greenup is a much better team than they played like tonight.I seen the game at 27 to 13 but they had to many stupid mistakes,and you can't run the same 5 plays for the entire game either.But I have faith that our boys will get it together real soon and maybe learn some more plays too. BEST OF LUCK ON THE REST OF THE SEASON.I also wish the Rams the best of luck too,and keep your head up ,this week is behind you now.Work hard for next week.

Not true!!! You can actually run the same 5 plays for 30 years. You just have to be good at running them. Look at Russell.

We played hard all night and never thought we were out. Rashard really came through in the chances we gave him, as well as Corey and Terry. The tough conditioning coach put us through helped us to not get tired throughout the game, while it looked like Raceland might have gotten worn down.

I guess you got me there ryan parker.I have faith that our new coach will definately get us better at those 5 plays with time ,it's just frustrating to watch your team drive the ball to the red zone time and time again and the opposing team stack the box on you and you can't get in the end zone.

Maybe that was the plan. Once they started running the quick pitch to the outside it was hard for Raceland to stop. Greenup has too much speed in the backfield to not try to get to the edges more.

Congratulations to Greenup County, they played hard and wanted this win more then Raceland did, a lot of missed opportunities for both teams. Good luck to Greenup County in the remainder of their season, I would say they have some more winning ahead of them.

 

What can you say about Raceland, someone told me tonight that Raceland was two plays away from being 3-1, and one play away from being 0-4. That is very true, when you let the game go down to the last 5 minutes of the forth quarter, you are asking for close losses, and Raceland has found them in two games so far. This team is going to have to come out and want to win before they will win. The little things are killing this team.

Bingo! I can take getting beat by a better football team, I can't understand not playing with heart and desire ! :irked:

 

No disrespect at all to Flemng or Greenup. I just feel that both of those were very "winnable" games for Raceland but all the shoulda....woulda....coulda's in the world do not translate into excuses or wins. GC and FC played with heart and to win and deserved the wins.

With the exception of Ashland, Raceland's turnovers & mistakes have been alot tougher of an opponent to overcome than any of the teams they have lost to this season. In reality, Ashland is the only team they've played where they were actually outmanned. Realisticly (with a little bit of luck & less turnovers & mistakes), the Rams should be 3-1.

Congrats Greenup on a big win ,Carter will make a great wishbone back .He will stick people on defense also.He will need to be rested,I wouldn't worry about playing time.

Wow!! What a game! Carter really was a difference maker tonight. Both teams had their bright spots and their problems. This game truly could have went either way. I hated to see either team lose.
