The House bill contains a section (Sec. 246) titled "NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS," which states: "Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States."

Maybe, maybe not. Thats part of the problem. There is enough smoke and mirrors in this bill to claim anything.

Would the House bill allow illegal immigrants to purchase health insurance in a health insurance exchange? It doesn’t restrict it, though White House press secretary Robert Gibbs today said he didn’t think the version of the law the president would sign would allow such a thing.

You are comparing apples to Onions here RTS the two incidents are not remotely similar . They were actually cheering a remark that the President said . All be it cynically . At a State of the Union address there are expected to be interruptions and applause and I dare say that a lot of that applause was to drown out the Democrats .

Let's call it stretching the truth.

 

However, at the point Wilson was making a fool of himself, Obama was right on in his assertion.

I don't think interrupting the POTUS during a speech is appropriate. Just a matter of respect IMHO.

Actually a great point was made the other day. The truth is that illegal aliens are going into our hospitals right now with injuries and illness. They are getting health care and the hospital is having to write them off when they don't pay and/or the hospitals are not asking for "proof of citizenship" documentation.

 

So the point was, How is this bill passing any different than what ALREADY EXISTS?

He was VERY incorrect. Some rude folks would even say he was lying.

It's not only illegals doing this but plenty of US citizens also. What makes the congress think they will pay for something when they get the care now and don't have to pay.

How do these fringe players, who by the way exist on both sides, support your comment? You give the leading media clown and individuals at protests as examples? These types have always existed, they're just getting more face time given the internet and cable need to fill time.

 

I thought you were talking about legitimate sources.

 

I do agree that our nation is becomming more and more politically fragmented. I just think all we need to do is look at who we elect as shining examples.
