It's my only money league and I was the 8th pick. My first 4 picks were RB's, then WR, then QB so I got a steal at QB. August 22, 200917 yr Saint4, I wouldn't pull the trade on that deal. Your Wrs are very questionable but I don't care who Turner's playing, he will have another huge year. Turner had a great year last year, but close to half of his production came in 5 games vs. Detroit, KC, Oakland, Denver and St. Louis....125 carries, 752 yards (6.0) and 8 TD. His ypc was 3.8 for the other 11 games. None are on the schedule this year. He drops the NFC North and the AFC West (easily the best matchup for running backs), and gets the NFC and AFC East. That means gone are poor run defenses like Oakland, KC, Denver, and Detroit...and in comes Philly (who held Turner to 58 yards on 17 carries last year), Washington, Dallas, both the NY teams, NE and Miami. I don't expect him to be a fantasy waste by any means, but his production will drop noticeably. Steven Jackson will be a better fantasy back. In addition to getting a WR, he upgrades at RB and swaps sleeper QB's who he's only planning to play out of necessity anyway. saint...you'll be wishing you'd accepted this trade if you don't do it.

Love the RB's. I'm not as high on Ronnie Brown as most, but when he's your 4th option, you're stacked at the position. Two good QB's. You have some good trade value with Romo as your second QB and with those 4 RB's. If you want, you should be able to work out a deal to get a top tier wideout. One possibility is that Portis will start out this season like last year...he was a beast through the first half of the season. If he does that, it's possible you could sell high and get a very good WR. I'd probably see if I couldn't move Portis or Brown, either straight up or some sort of package, to get a WR.

It's just a hunch...but, it seems that the Titans provide a more stable surrounding. You know they're going to run and run a lot and Johnson is the clear #1. Even with White stealing TD's, he gets his opportunities to hit paydirt. What happens in Houston if Schaub gets hurt again? They don't have any depth behind Slaton, so can he stay healthy if he's forced into a heavier workload. Having LenDale White helps Johnson in that regard, IMO. I'd stick with CJ.

True, but there is the flipside- Slaton is guaranteed to get the carries, whereas LenDale's tequila-less diet could make him more effective than CJ. However, I doubt that happens, and, like I said, CJ is the man.
August 22, 200917 yr I'd keep Slaton only because he's guaranteed 20 carries a game. Both are very solid backs though. Can't really go wrong with either.

While there are some question marks, I think this team has a lot of potential. Thoughts?
