Make sure you get a QB with one of those picks for sure.

 

I was thinking QB and RB. I'm thinking I'm going to have to reach in rounds 3 and 4. I will need to have 1 QB 2 RBs and a WR by then. I won the league last year and low and behold the decide to draft by last years standings. My argument was that if you do that, it needs to be a keeper league. I didn't have too many supporters in that belief. I think I'm screwed.

That sounds kinda crappy, but you'll still have a chance. There will be some good players available at 14 and 15.

 

I wouldn't lock myself in to picking a QB. It's possible a good RB could drop. But, the best case scenario is this, IMO...two of the top four WR's are still availabe when you pick (Johnson, Johnson, Moss, Fitz)...take them both whoever they are. You lock that position down and don't have to worry about it the rest of the draft. I think the odds of hitting on a major producer in middle or later is much better at RB. You can load up on RB's over the next 8-10 rounds.

 

Plus, around pick 30 you should have a shot at guys like Pierre Thomas, Ryan Grant, Kevin Smith, Darren McFadden, etc. And, good QB's like Rivers, Warner, Rodgers possibly.

 

If only one of the top 4 are still there, then hopefully you can get Brady and a stud WR.

Wow...that would completely change the draft. I'm not sure I can offer a good opinion here...

 

If the draft progresses like a lot of standard drafts, I'd be tempted to grab Brady and Brees or Manning with my first two picks, get the best WR available with my next pick and load up on RB's for the next 7-8 rounds.

 

But, in that setup, I suspect the stud QB's go fast. Am I wrong?

That's an insane set up. If any one of Brady, Brees, or Manning is still there you HAVE to go with them and I'd probably go with two of them really. If none of those three are there and you have Warner or Romo I'd go with one of them and a stud WR. IF none of the top five QB's are there...then I'd lean towards WR-WR with the first two picks. Either way...your league places a very high premium on getting good QB's.

I saw a preview show on ESPN and those guys were really touting Schaub, any opinions on him?

Schaub should be poised for a strong season if he can stay healthy. He was second in the NFL in yards per attempt last season (behind Philip Rivers). Their o-line is improving...Duane Brown was better than expected as a rookie LT and he should only get better. And, few teams have a trio of pass catchers as good as AJ, Walter and Owen Daniels, IMO. And, all three have good size for red zone ability. I think Schaub will be a top 10 fantasy QB.

Yeah...I can't offer much advice in this league because of the setup. I've never played with defensive players and the two QB thing is a huge twist. I would seriously draft Brady/Manning/Brees with my first two picks if I had that option...
