cch5432 Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Since every year we have multiple threads (mostly by just me) asking for advice on fantasy football trades/roster decisions, I figured we could have a catch-all thread. I'm considering trading Thomas Jones for Dwayne Bowe. (My current RB's are LT, Ronnie Brown, Jamal Lewis, T. Jones, and Jonathan Stewart. My current WR's are Roddy White, Vincent Jackson, Wes Welker, Hines Ward). No points for receptions. If he doesn't accept it, I may try and package Hines Ward in there and get another of his receivers in return, either M. Muhammed or D. Hixon. Should I consider T. Jones/H. Ward for D. Bowe/(Muhammed or Hixon)? Thoughts?
3wishes Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Who do I keep Brandon Marshall or Eddie Royal, one has to go? I only got both for collateral.

He lauged me off  He's starting Willie Parker until Marshawn Lynch returns, I guess he's content with that.

That's what I was thinking. Bowe is good, but he's not a top receiver. I'd try to package Jones and one of my receivers for a top receiver. I
5wide Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I'd do it...there ADP is about the same so you are basically trading a "surplus" for a "need". I'm not sure he "needs" Jones or Bowe. White, Jackson and Welker are a pretty solid trio, IMO. I'd consider packaging Jones and Jackson or Welker to see if I could get an elite WR...or maybe Stewart and Jackson or Welker. I think it would be worth a shot. To be honest, I think it would be worth it to package any of your running backs, excluding LT, with any of your WR's not named Roddy White if you could get an elite WR or RB out of the deal. I'd try that.
5wide Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Who do I keep Brandon Marshall or Eddie Royal, one has to go? I only got both for collateral. That's a tough call because of Marshall's current situation in Denver...but, ultimately I expect him to play and he's definitely the top dog and the most physically gifted WR in Denver. Plus, if Marshall doesn't play, can Royal handle being the #1 in Denver...that's questionable. I'd move Royal.
