Brees - 147/237 (62.0%), 16 TD, 6 Int McNabb - 118/189 (62.4%), 9 TD, 3 Int Romo - 129/223 (57.8%), 11 TD, 7 Int Warner - 131/217 (60.4%), 10 TD, 7 Int Brady - 148/240 (61.7%), 12 TD, 4 Int Big Ben - 107/189 (56.6%), 7 TD, 4 Int Palmer - 123/195 (63.1%), 8 TD, 6 Int Peyton - 137/175 (78.3%), 10 TD, 3 Int Cutler - 154/247 (62.3%), 6 TD, 7 Int Rivers - 121/182 (66.5%), 13 TD, 1 Int Thanks for finding those. It looks like Big Ben, Cutler and Romo are three other guys who went down as the season went on.
August 19, 200917 yr Favre has consistently played bad towards the end of the year for the last few years. So why would I want a QB who's almost guaranteed to fall off at the end of the year? Found this on another site, enjoy. You don't possibly think playing in the division he was in and the weather turning bad had anything to do w/ his numbers going down late in the year? Last year he tore a muscle in his throwing arm so I could see the number going down from there.
August 19, 200917 yr Why not look at the individual schedules? It doesn't matter what conference you play in. Green Bay played 10 teams with winning records (6 with 10 wins or more) and only four of their opponents finished below .500. The Jets played 6 teams with winning records (5 with 10 wins or more) and 8 of their opponents finished below .500. Whether the AFC is more difficult or not doesn't matter, the Packers schedule was significantly tougher. The Packers lost 7 games by 4 points or less, 5 to playoff teams, and 2 of the other 3 were .500 or better...you don't think getting twice as many losing teams on the schedule would have made a difference? Not to mention, Rodgers had to carry the load in Green Bay for much of the season because Ryan Grant underperformed, especially early. Meanwhile, Favre had the benefit of a running game that averaged 4.7 ypc and got a career year from Thomas Jones. Futurecoach handled this later on but thanks for proving that Favre was probably better than Rodgers last year. Grant is a monster w/ Favre and his numbers drop when he leaves. Jones looks old and washed up the year before but w/ Favre in town he has a monster year. Coincidence? Doubtful. I would also guess Favre would have found a way to win some of those 7 games. After all they won them the year before.

August 19, 200917 yr Im going to look like a hypocrite here due to many posts complaining somewhat about proper respect. Looking back at the Packer's decision I can't fault them for giving him a deadline. He has done everything he can to avoid the grind work and milking publicity since. This makes it hard for me to be convinced the Packers weren't familiar with this behind the scenes. I understand where you are coming from, but on this one, in retrospect, I would have done the same. If they were ready to move on without him AND they thought they had a better option why not release him? Why were they so adamant that he retire or play for a team that won 4 games the year before in a different conference. My point about respect was if they weren't going to let him wait they shouldn't have tried to tell him who he couldn't play for. He at least deserved that from the team.

Also GB won more games and went to the NFC title game when he was there last and they missed the playoffs when he was gone. The Jets were so bad they picked 6th in the draft the year before Favre was there and they won 9 the year he was there. If not for an injury it would have been more IMO. If he wanted to wait until the summer to decide if he wanted to come back (everyone knew he did) he should have been given that chance. He started every game for that franchise for 15 years. He had enough leverage to get out of going there. I don't have a problem with him missing camp. I don't have a problem with him coming in and immediately being #1. August 20, 200917 yr The Giants do not do this often. They have done it once that I know of and that was with Strahan. He was considering retirement and came back for his final season (and won a superbowl). He was also fined for missing training camp. Exactly who I was talking about and a perfect example of what I'm talking about. You know what you are getting out of Strahan. Do people really think his teammates hated him for that? Did it ruin their season or help him be fresh? My point exactly on Favre. It's no secret what you are getting with him. While the media pounds the hatred, selfishness into the ground the facts are that his teammates at GB loved him and the guys in Minny were texting him + calling him telling him they want him. You think guys like Jarred Allen, AP, Berrian, Johnson/Johnson etc are dissapointed he is coming in? People need to stop listening to the media and listen to the guys it effects the most...his teammates. They want him and know they have a better chance to win with him. The Pats are notorious for resting vets that need it in the stuff before the season. There isn't a better run franchise in football. You listed Strahan which is who I was talking about and another example of a well run organization that thinks smart instead of caving to the media.

If the other guys would have earned the job then it's a mute point. They didn't get it done. If they thought that at the time they should have released Favre. He deserved that from them. I'm not so sure I'd take Rodgers in a one game situation over Favre. For 16 yes, but he hasn't proven he can win games yet.

I am simply annoyed with the constant game he's playing with everyone when he is deciding whether or not he wants to come back. He goes back and forth so much, and it is annoying. I'm sick of him.
