I don't know about annexed but Raceland has sure has owned Ashland in football.

The poster stated "the Adams kid lived in Boyd Co. but played at Ashland" meaning to me that Adams lived in the Boyd Co. school district but played at Ashland. I don't know, after reading the thread I shouldn't have tried to use intelligence to decifer most of these post.

 

The previous Rose Hill administrator's name has been smeared in this thread by people who have no earthly idea what they are talking about.

 

The One Man took it upon himself to cast a cloud of doubt over anyone and everyone closely associated with the Rose Hill program therefore incriminating anyone who has been involved with the program in the past four years and he like myself has no intimate knowledge of the KHSAA/Rose Hill situation.

 

I still don't understand why you people can't just answer the question! All I want to know is: If they transfer out of Rose Hill, how are they eligiable to play at another school if they don't or do live there? I just want the kids to be able to play. The Adams kid went through alot of trouble to transfer from Ashland, then to Russell, then finally Rose Hill, sat out a year only to transfer again because of these alleged problems that Rose Hill is having. I am sure each case is different, but it would be a shame to let this go. The outcome of this decision will effect every team in the 16th Region. If all of this is true, Fairview becomes alot stronger, Raceland becomes a contender even more than it already was, while all the rest remain the same. Expecially East Carter, who I thought had a decent chance of being 16th Region champion. Any thoughts on this.

Only if the KHSAA shut them down could they go to another school and play this year. I don't think they (KHSAA) will do that probably a large fine and no pre-season scrimages IMO. In that case all student athletes would be under the transfer rule as it applies to all players who change schools. They present their case to the KHSAA and they rule on it.

Are you sure about #4?

I wonder if Koundog is actually saying that there has been no investigation by KHSAA and there will be no ruling against Rose Hill? I can tell you quite honestly that there has been an investigation and a ruling will be public soon. They may be waiting until Rose Hill resumes their school year so as not to scare away any more students. Enrollment is way down at Rose Hill and there was speculation by church members and faculty they might not have enough to open the highschool this year. This is fact and not terribly difficult to check out.

 

I was told directly by a parent whose child plays another sport that he couldn't get any answers from the school about the allegations so he called KHSAA personally. While KHSAA declined to tell him what the exact problem was, he asked if in their opinion should they leave their child at Rose Hill or transfer ....and the voice on the other end told him that if it was their child, they would find another school.

 

Again, none of us know for certain what the problem is, however when you consider that 6 boys on the basketball roster are no longer there - Terry is so far the only major player who has left. The other 5 are a little younger, etc. There has to be a problem and to say otherwise doesn't make sense.

 

As I stated earlier, I do hope none of the kids are penalized from playing ball.

And why did two of them walk into a certain classroom during school hours to get permission to join the football team when their transfer is complete? Seems even Ashton Kutcher would not go to these lengths to create a "prank"

Are you crazy? I have not tried to cast a doubt on anyone but was merely trying to say that if their are problems at Rose Hill you could not lay them neatly at the feet of Tim Fraley. I made the statement that if their were problems at the Hill someone other than Tim Fraley would know about them and I will continnue to stand by that generalized statement.

You need to read the NKY threads on basketball where I said that a few years back I looked into a teaching/coaching job at Calvary Christian and gave strong consideration to putting my kids into that school for the Christian education that they would receive.

And also, I am a huge proponent of the voucher system where parents could use the voucher to help offset the cost of tuition at private schools.
