Clyde I usually agree with you on a lot of things but I don't on this one. If you read the ending message it was meant to keep their wedding "memorable." Why have a traditional wedding if they didn't want one? It's not for everyone. This is awesome.

The best way I can answer that is, how do you usually see people acting in church? The way I'm speaking of or what you see in the video?

On a Sunday, I see them acting the way you're describing. Many other times, people act this way.

You have obviously never been to a church on the south side of Atlanta where singing and dancing are accepted and encouraged. Does this mean they are wrong in the way they choose to worship because they are more vocal than other Baptist churches?

Tad bit different than what was in the video, don't you think? Both song and dance. Noting at all a celebration of God in that song or the dance they were doing. Again, anywhere else is cool, just not in a church.

I'm very proud of that fact. As I said, to each his own. I don't condemn them, I just find it disrespectful for church.

Is church not a place to show respect and reverence for God? Is it not a place of worship?

 

A time and a place for everything. A church is not a place for that IMO. I have no problem with a wedding spicing things up like this, just not in a church.

I get what you guys are saying and can somewhat agree, but.... In a church? I mean, come on, really? I think that might be a big part of why Clyde has a problem with it and I fully concur. Not the place at all for that. Now, anywhere else, it's cool with me.

 

I completely agree here RTS, should they want to have that wedding then it is completely up to them but is jmo a total lack of respect and class to have that style ceromony in a church. I also believe that wouldn't be as great of an idea when years later they are showing the wedding video to their kids (if they get that far) .

 

I also believe that alcohol may have been involved,LOL. :idunno:. (and I am not talking about the communion wine)

I found nothing wrong with it, and as Run to State said, to each his own, but if the congragation of that church was alright with it, and the minister was ok with it, apparently it was not too disrespectful. They did not play a song that degrades any race, gender, or religion in it, none of their dances were too outragous, and I am sure they went on to have a regular ceremony after that entrance. Again, each person has his or her own opinion.
