It's the bride and groom's day. You are getting married and paying for the event, so do what you both want. If you want to dance down the aisle, do it. If you want to invite family and go to a tropical place, do it. If you want a nice quiet wedding, invite a small crowd or elope.

I saw the entire wedding party on the Today show last week. They are definately stretching their 15 mins of fame. They said they threw the whole thing together in about an hour. Looked like alot of fun to me.

Call me old school but I think I would have been ready to go if I was at this wedding. The wedding ceremony should have some class and decorum. Dancing to Chris Brown down the aisle to what should be a special moment screams of "look at me look at me."

Is church not a place to show respect and reverence for God? Is it not a place of worship?

 

A time and a place for everything. A church is not a place for that IMO. I have no problem with a wedding spicing things up like this, just not in a church.

I understand where you're coming from but how does the way they walk down the isle for a wedding have any effect on their worship of God? Where is it written that you have to be quiet and solemn during a wedding?

You have obviously never been to a church on the south side of Atlanta where singing and dancing are accepted and encouraged. Does this mean they are wrong in the way they choose to worship because they are more vocal than other Baptist churches?
