Demetrius Avery OFFICIALLY a Bulldog

I didn't see E. Pittman mentioned, is he still playing for Holmes?

He is. Im guessing LMB was just listing some recent transfers that Holmes has received.

Both Ricardo and Jeremiah shouldn't even be considered a transfer IMO based on the circumstances of their situation transferring out of Holmes district back into it within the same calendar year if I am correct...

This age-old discussion is turning into the 2009 version of "how old is OJ Mayo."

Really helps Holmes, REALLY hurts Conner

Conner will struggle this year without their senior leadership. It will be a huge loss for them.

Rule #13

I would definitely consider Demetrius Avery a top 10 9th Region player.

On second thought, I take that back. I think he may be somewhere around #10. My top 10:

Johnson

Pittman

Johnson

Kowolonek

Gabbard

Popp

Earls

Cotton

McLeash

Avery

Come on Wildcat Fan, 4 top ten players from Boone.

Boone has one top ten player in Gabbard, and maybe, a big maybe in Cotton.

This is classic. You left off Montgomery.

OK, tell me your ten. Who would you put ahead of them in the 9th. If Holmes can have 4 top 10 players, I don't think it is far fetched that another could have 3 or 4. It's not like Holmes blew Boone out last year, and Boone actually won the first matchup.

Others in the 9th to consider:

Grote, Pangallo, Nichols, Coleman, and the big center from Highlands.

Earls is a better player than Avery. I've watched them both play all the way up from elementary school, and Popp and Gabbard are right there with Avery too. Statistically, none of these 4 are far apart.

No more than yours. I'll give you Pittman and the Johnsons, but Avery is no more top 10 than the others I have mentioned.

He will be in the top 10 in his senior year.

Pangallo is a top 10 player................Somewhere in the 8-10 range.

Good player too, and if you compare overall stats from last year between Gabbard, Bryan, Popp, and Pangallo, none are that far apart from one another.

There is no question Pittman and the two Johnson brothers make it because they were the only All State players from the 9th region last year.Pittman and R. Johnson are unanimous 1st team all state and probably the front runners for Mr. Basketball. IMO: After the Johnsons and Pittman, there is a big dropoff with players 4-10.

Can some other players from Boone make at the end of year, sure, but IMO: Popp should make it way before Earls does.
