I think Lex Cath has been more consistent in every sport.. They have been in the top 5 in basketball and baseball, along with always having a pretty strong football and a never fading soccer.

 

X had four sanctioned state championships, two runner-ups, and one final four appearance. LexCath had one state championship and two elite eight appearances.

 

For a school its size LC is great, but I don't think many would agree with your statement.

Highlands isn't even the top overall athletic program in Northern Ky...that would be CovCath. They typically beat them in anywhere from 7-8 out of the 9 sports every year.

Congratulations to St X. I think that St X has very strong programs in a lot of sports. Trinity has a clear edge over X in football, basketball and baseball (include wrestling last year) while X has had an edge in recent years in most of the other sports.

It would seem that a program like Sacred Heart with a #2 finish in cross country, #8 finish in Golf, #2 finish in Swimming, #5 finish in Track/Field and a #2 finish in Volleyball should be given serious consideration as the top program in the state if we don't have a gender bias.

 

Their last 20 year history of athletic excellence is as strong as anyones.

TA, you better get a state championship in baseball first before you go claiming to have a "clear edge." X also has some state titles in basketball, which is something T can't claim (granted the last one came when my father was at X).
