Ky Players (Pittman, Johnson Brothers, Slusher) went 0-2 in pool play but won the the silver bracket championship.

How come they played in the weaker brackets? I would have thought they would have played in the platinum bracket.

You had to be the top team in your pool to play in the platinum bracket. They went 0-2 so they went to the silver.

Is there any chance that they simply weren't that good? I know we've been led to believe otherwise, but on a national level, just not up to snuff.

They definitley have the talent, size, and athleticism to compete at the national level. If they had a better coach, that had the team disciplined and motivated they would be really good. When you see them play you can tell that they can be alot better, they just play like a pick up game. Even the two games they lost, no one on the floor was better than R. Johnson and Pittman.

Curtis Washington of ETown had an offer from USC as soon as the tourney was over, and has accepted to play for the Trojans.

Did Chane Behanan play in this tournament? Or was he at the Lebron camp?

I haven't seen or heard anything about him.

He played, I got to watch him play. Strong body, didn't really stand out, as there were lots of strong bodies and talent at this tourney.

I was much more impressed with Remey Abell of Eastern. He impresses me each time I see him play. To me Abell is the better player from what I have seen.

Thanks.

Heard Remy Abell from Eastern was one of the more impressive players in this tournament in the c/o 2011. He may very well solidify himself as the best player for that class here in KY.

Thanks.

Still lots of basketball to be played, to say he may solidify himself for Mr. Basketball. Fant looked good in the tourney too. Stenzel played well one game then took a real nasty fall. He played, but was hurt. Zollo had a great game Monday morning, and played solid in the other games. Lots of talent in the 2011 class.

Who is the new head coach at SC?

Who is the new head coach at SC?

Kevin O'Neil

No. Price team from Cincinnati. But Boone County's Popp and Shelby County's Johnson play on that team.

Doesnt Jake Thelen also play for Shining Stars Price?

This is possible, but with Chane Behanen going to Bowling Green from Aiken in Ohio, I think if he plays his game, he'll be the number 1 player in the state of KY for 2011

Behanen did play from what I heard with OBC.

Yes. He has a 16U and 3 17U teams, although Coach Wahler of Colerain coaches SS Blue U17, Price coaches SS Black U17, and Oak Hills' assistant coach coaches SS White U17. I believe Price also coaches Thelen's team. All of these teams are listed under Price because they all practice and travel together.

He could, but from what I have seen Abell would be my frontrunner between the two.

Kevin O'Neil

He had no offers before USC swept in and offered this week. Seems quick, not to slight the player. However, we are talking about Kevin O'Neil!
