How many points did Montgomery end up with today?

I'm been impressed with with his game. I saw him play yesterday (16 points) and a few times last year as a soph (IMO he should have received more minutes on varsity) and liked the way he ran the floor and his versatility. I think with the group of seniors that are returning this year for Boone, he and Boone could have a big year.

You never know what kind of officiating is going to show up from one game to the next.

 

Final score was 50 - 38. Montgomery had 4 or 5 points.

Got to watch Darryl Hicks from Shelby Co today and all I can say is WOW. BIG time prospect...

He plays for The Ville 14U team. They beat All Ohio Red who has two of the best 2013 prospects in Ohio. I think they play at 10:20 tomorrow at court 5 in the main gym, and I'll be there again for another look...

16U Update:

Platinum - not sure as site isn't updated

 

Gold Bracket - the KY ICE play in the Final 4 against Garner Rd at 1pm in the 5th 3rd Arena. The Ice are beginning to look like the team they should be. As for the NKY Bulldogs comments about refs, the ICE experienced same thing but pulled out a victory. Ice were up 15 with 5 min to play and the whistles went silent. Oh well, that's a variable you can't control but isn't fun to deal with.

 

Silver Bracket - the SS-Pittman play Char Court at 1pm for the championship.

N.KY Bulldogs lost this afternoon to Club OH in the U16 gold bracket. This was a 2 point game at half time before the foul count went to 16 - 5 in favor of Club OH. Their scoring in the second half was 6 points from the field and 18 from the line. Club OH went into a stall with 11 minutes left in the half and the Bulldogs could not get a five second if they paid for one. Mainly due to the fact that the officials were not even counting. IMO the Bulldogs played a great game. They had nice dunks by Travis Montgomery and Tyler Hodges. Two very close and nicely officiated game at the UC rec center left the Bulldogs 1-1 after pool play. They go off campus to Cincinnati State and a lop sided foul count results in what I feel like was a victory for the "Home Team".

 

I did stop in and get to see a small portion of this game and the officiating was absolutely terrible. It appeared to be 1-sided in heavy favor of Club Ohio. I also left the game because Club Ohio began to stall the basketball with about 9 or 10 minutes left and it was like a 3 point game. HOW BORING??? I have never seen a team do that in an AAU style game. Where is the confidence in the team? (and, the 5 second call? I saw about 10 should-be calls, but no whistle, lol)

 

On another note, I did see tonight at NKU that Shining Stars 16U Has made it to the finals in the silver bracket. Albeit, the silver bracket, but hey, they are winning and thats fantastic for them. They will be playing Charlotte Court tomorrow afternoon for the silver bracket championship. Does anyone know if Marcellus Barkesdale is back playing with the Court?

 

Lastly, I saw Ryan Fucci (stud) and Taylor Martin (stud) and the Lexington Ice play in a really good game against Club Ohio. All of you NKY Bulldogs fans would probably be happy to hear that the Ice handled Club Ohio with fair ease. It got close at the end, bu the ice were up 16 at one point.

 

Oh yeah, I saw SS 15U playing Club Ohio 15U,they were tied 19-19 in the first half at about 9:30pm tonight. Let us know the outcome.
