This is always such a mess to sort out. There was at one time allowance given within the "same school district" that has "open enrollment" such as Kenton Co. and Boone Co. that allowed movement if both coaches agreed and signed off.

 

I had heard that there is confusion about all this bouncing stuff since the lawsuit between KHSAA and the Highlands Football incident of a year or two ago which is still pending between player or HHS and KHSAA (when HHS was stripped of all football victories but allowed to play in state finals.)

 

Hope the youg lady finds a high school home and gets a great education and chance to show her basketball skills (in that order.)

If she played in a varsity game at Ryle as a Freshman then she must change residence to the Boone district, at minimum. I would say at best this will not be decided until the season is underway. County districts do not count it is individual school districts.

If she is half the ball player her dad was in high school, she could be special to watch. I had the pleasure of seeing Randy play in HS and he was a freak of an athlete (and I mean that as a compliment). In HS I saw him touch the top of the backboard. How he, Jason Williams and Bobby Howard didn't carry their team to a state title that season is still a mystery to me.

Where is her brother going to school? Did he change schools?

 

He is going to OCKERMAN....He is in 6th grade.....the 2 youngest kids are going to Heritage..

I remember that issue and it was unfortunate. It cost him playing at ND. I lived in Charleston at the time and my son attended Weberwood elementary (great school) thru the 4th grade until we moved back to Kentucky.

Does Randy Moss live in Ky? How did the family end up here when he has played in Mn., Oakland & now New England?

If I am not mistaken, she went to Ryle, had some "issues", and quit the team last season. I would think that her intentions to move to Boone County, would be for a fresh start.

The last I heard they still lived in the same house in the sub division across from Ryle's campus.
