June 15, 200917 yr There's a huge difference. Two of those guys give you more. Rebounding, defense, passing....things that allow you to put them on the court without holding your breath. One of them is a shooter that hits about 40 percent of his threes. If that's all he can give you, he isn't worth bringing off the bench. My goodness, where on earth has this JJ Redick-mania come from. He was a great college player and that's where it ended. If I had to guess, I would say Jeff Van Gundy, he never said a bad word about JJ in the Finals and spoke rather glowingly of him last night as Kobe was shooting jumpers in his eye. I think Jeff Van Gundy may be a bigger JJ fan and apologist than me. I wish he had an account on BGP so we could school you guys.....

June 15, 200917 yr I don't know. I'm not a huge Redick fan and I could care less where he ends up, but last night during the finals, i was very impressed with him. He was hitting some shots, and playing pretty good defense at times on Kobe. And he never quit..so wherever he ends up, best of luck to him.

He's a lot of fun to play with. FYI, I am only playing with LeBron now because I have already completed a title season winning season with Kobe. I had to move on to LeBron because the game was too easy with Kobe. I also lost my first game out of 20 in my LeBron season yesterday. I did a fantasy draft and Kobe's Bulls beat my LeBron led Knicks. You can't make this stuff up........Kobe destroyed me.

He makes cracks like that all the time and they crack me up. I like Jeff too, but he's getting back into coaching- I think he is willing to even be an assistant, he said. The best was when they were discussing Stan Van Gundy's in-game attire, and Mark Jackson said, "That's a good look for him." JVG replied, "When you look like we do, there is no good look." Anyways, I never thought I'd say it, but JJ isn't a bad player. He will have a decent NBA career, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Magic hold on to him. People are saying the Magic may be one-and-done, but they have an excellent and young team. Dwight of course in the middle with a versatile veteran in Rashard Lewis and a budding star in Jameer Nelson. Coupled with athletic wings like Pietrus and Lee and a sharpshooter in JJ, I like this team down the road. They need someone to be a real leader for this team- if Jameer Nelson can become that (and they can get someone to complement/back up Dwight inside), I like their chances at a title in the next few years.
June 15, 200917 yr For what it's worth, I think JJ contributed very nicely this year....and I look for improvement towards the future. That said, at this point, I'd still take Luke over JJ because of his length...that's big in the NBA.....in regards to who shoots the best....ask JJ's or others around the league...JJ is almost like a Tin Cup in the NBA, he has ravaged a ton of goods from players around the league with his crazy shooting...some of it is on youtube.com.
