Will he be with the Magic next season? I still think he can play in the league, just in spots though. Still doesn't look to shoot and even then the results weren't that great in the playoffs. Probably would be better off with a non-playoff team were he could start and not have as much pressure.

JJ Redick is a great fit on the Lakers, IMO. He would be like a smaller Luke Walton who can actually shoot.

Luke has become a decent role player. I had my doubts before, but he gives solid minutes every game... I am a fan.

I can't stand Luke, on offense he is an indecisive shot missing turnover waiting to happen, on defense, he is a liability. When you see Laker opponents making great shots in the playoff highlights this year, Luke Walton is likely to be in the highlight defending the guy who made the great shot. When he was on the court this year in the playoffs he had 1 decent game in the measly 10 minutes of time he gets on the court, which ironically, is how long it took for him to get 6 fouls guarding Carmelo Anthony. I'll take JJ an his ability to hit the 3 over Sasha and Luke anyday. I think everything else is a draw when it comes to what those 3 guys contribute to the team.

 

But for the record, I am a Dukie, so before you reply, I am biased and always will be. JJ will fit in nicely when the team he plays for uses his talents properly.

It's not even close. The Lakers already have a JJ. His name is Sasha Vujacic (or however you spell it).

 

Sasha is just a better version of JJ. They sure don't need another one that isn't as good.

The Lakers have plenty of scorers at this point. Walton is a great compliment to them. JJ would not see the floor for the Lakers.

I like JJ, but essentially he can shoot the ball when wide open, and that is it. People always say there is a place for you in the NBA if you can shoot the ball, but that is not entirely true. There is a place for you in the NBA if you are a good shooter but you have to be able to create for yourself. Sasha is able to that but he has suddenly forgotten how to shoot the ball the past couple of months :lol:

Going in to the playoffs, I would have agreed with you, but I am about ready to put Sasha in the second spot because he can not shoot worth a darn any longer... hopefully he will get it back. Luke at least brings a more complete game to the table.

I'd go with Redick, Sasha, Luke but you are right in your assessment and that is my whole point. There is no huge drop off from one to the next so I'll roll with the Dukie all day every day.
