June 11, 200917 yr :thumb: Orlando cannot guard Pau and Lamar at the same time. They just cant. That is a HUGE advantage for LA, IMO, and if they utilize it they win. No doubt. They open the door for Orlando and make this matchup a lot more even when they fail to feed those guys down low. Elijah Price can only guard one of them. Rashard Lewis can't guard either guy in the post. And, the additional upside is that Odom and Gasol are two of the best passing big guys in the league...you can trust them to not only make good decisions, but to have the ability to execute, whether it's scoring or a pass to set up a score. It makes things a lot easier for everybody on LA's team. To put it simply, the Lakers should pound the ball into the guy that's matched up with Rashard Lewis and use the other guy to draw Price away from the paint. If he cheats off, you have an open mid-range jumper and if he doesn't Lewis can't stop them. Then, if necessary, Kobe is relatively rested and fresh for the late game close.
June 11, 200917 yr That's fine, but it still doesn't change the fact that they shot the ball incredibly well as a team. It seems like the sentiment is that L.A. played awful and Orlando shot the best percentage in NBA history and the Lakers still only lost by 4. While I don't think L.A. played their best, it was far from their worst. And quite frankly, Orlando still has room to improve as well. Maybe not offensively, but definitely defensively. Well, let me be more frank, the last 2 games of the Denver series and game 1 of the Finals are the Lakers we Laker fans expect to see. When Orlando beats the Lakers when they play the way they did for that 3 game stretch I'll be impressed. Orlando does have room to improve, but obviously they need the game 2 and 3 Lakers to show up to even be in the game. While shooting a Finals record 62.5% from the floor. Let the Lakers shoot 62.5% from the floor and I bet it won't be a 4 point win for the Lakers.......
June 11, 200917 yr Was Kobe a ball hog this last game or did he really need to take that many shots? He was 11 of 25 for 31 points while Gasol went 9 of 11 for 23 points. Should Gasol have gotten more touches??

Sure, that's exactly what I would expect a Dragon to say.... All I am trying to say is that if LA shoots that high of a percentage, then I don't care who they play, the game won't be close. I may be wrong, but that is my opinion and I would bet on it.
