It is about contolling individual behavior and ripping money out of your pocket. Comrade Obama is leading us down that socialist path that so many are in denial. Yet with the takeover of the car companies and controlling the pay of banking officials, how can anyone deny it any longer? Unless you support socialism, yet you deny it for you do not want the the truth to be known, because of individual hatred for successful people.
May 22, 200917 yr I don't have a problem with taxing junk food. Keep the healthy food tax-free. It's a necessity. But until I see some evidence that junk food improves your health, it's not a necessity. I have no problem with taxes on luxuries. What happened to individual freedom to make choices? There are people out there that are willing to kill the unborn, but then worry about something like a person enjoying some junk food now and then.
