Parrillada de Bifes - Palermo Viejo

Parmesan Encrusted Chilean Sea Bass – Equus

BLT Fries – Lynn's Paradise Cafe

Shrimp & Grits – Jack Fry's

I need to add that I have only been here for over a year (though I grew up coming to Louisville to eat a lot) and there are several restaurants I really need to try (Seviche in particular). The dishes in bold are ones that I hadn't had before my move here.

Serious question about one of your choices above......what exactly is a fish taco? I've never seen one or eaten one, and have always wondered what it is.

Basically what it sounds like, a taco using fish as the filling. There are multiple variations but generally some kind of slaw/cabbage is included.

1/2 Slab Ribs Platter - Frankfort Avenue Beer Depot

Fish Sandwich Dinner - Stan's Fish Sandwich

Cardinal Roll w/ Miso Soup - Oishii Sushi

Roast Beef w/ Potatoes and Sweet Peas - Wagner's Pharmacy

1/2 lb. Burger fully dressed w/ Onion Rings - W.W. Cousins

Vegetable Pad Thai Medium Spicy - Thai Orchid

Burger w/ Cole Slaw - Genny's Diner

Mama Bearno's Special - Bearno's Pizzeria

New York Strip w/ Cheese Cauliflower and Hash Browns - Pat's Steakhouse

Italian Beef Sandwich - Lonnie's Taste of Chicago

Burrito Carne Asada - Sol Azteca's

Cheeseburger and Loaded Fries - Granville Inn

Fried Chicken Dinner - Scotty's

On these last few, I find myself in complete agreement with formerkywrestler...

Drunken Chicken at J. Gumbo's

Fish and Chips at The Irish Rover

Bratwurst Sandwich at Flabby's (I like the fresh pretzels with mine)

formerkywrestler, you have definitely been to a lot more of the fine dining establishments in this town than I have; the kids usually got left alone when mom and dad went to those places and I'm still a poor student. But a lot of those dishes sound incredible and I've always heard good things about Vincenzo's and Equus. Looking forward to them.

Here is my list (not 20, but my favorites) for NKY/Cincinnati.

Goetta Hoagie - Pasquale's

Jager Schnitzel - Hofbrauhaus

Pretzels con Queso - Barleycorn's

Stuffed Mushrooms - Barleycorn's

Fried Pickles - Barleycorn's

Ribs & Saratoga Chips- Montgomery Inn

Pork Chops - El Coyote

Sushi - Teak Thai Cafe

Fried Chicken - Greyhound Tavern

Rueben - Izzy's

Wings - Dana Gardens (around Xavier's campus)

Girth Burger (Burger with a split mett on top) - Zip's Cafe

Lasagna - Pompilios

Pizza & Calzones - Dewey's

You have gave me several options that I must try soon. The sandwich at Lonnie's is something I have been thinking of trying this week actually.

Yea, I have been pretty lucky on the places my family chose to eat for celebrations. Even the nicer places I have tried since I have been here, are for the most part, on Mom's tab.

...I went a little over 20.

Now that is a strong list. I'm not a fan of all of the above, but that's just me. Strong list indeed.

In Greater Cincinnati, my list would include these:

*Barbecue ribs or chiken with chips-Montgomery Inn

*Baked Royal hoagie w pizza sauce-LaRosa's

*Fried Grouper-Greyhound Tavern

*Naked (grilled) tenders with buffalo chips and spicy garlic sauce-BW's

*Wings w the "hot" sauce-Barleycorns

*Combo #1 (taco, two enchalidas of your choice, and beans)-Camino Real

*Goetta (well done), bacon, toast with grape jam, and a short stack of pancakes (all ordered a la carte obviously)-Colonial Cottage

*3-way-Dixie Chili

*Pork Chop Dinner (get the second chop even if you have to take it home, they're that good)-El Coyote.

*Steak of your choice (can't go wrong)-The Precinct

*Pizza with your favorite toppings-Uno's

*Steak of your choice, crab meat quiche, potato, salad-Grand Finale.

Totally random list off the top of my head. Since I'm not to 20, I reserve the right to add later. And yes, I did save the best for last.

I've got way more than 20, but these are my absolute favorites.

If you're a simpleton like me when it comes to pizza and just want a traditional pepperoni pie then BV's is outstanding. Highly underrated and not very well known due to it being in Dayton.
