May 8, 200917 yr Good pickup. Did the Bengals replace their front office at then end of the season. They look as if they are trying to fill gaps in their lineup and give the team some depth like good NFL teams do... Very strange behavior for the Bengals management. Very Strange.
May 8, 200917 yr This is another good pickup. Bengals getting better and better everyday. They will at least be in the hunt for the playoffs. I think the can win the division. Umm, probably not. Same stuff different year. Steelers and Ravens will be bettter than them. The Steelers are the most consistent team in the NFL and are head and shoulders better than the Bengals. Laugh all you want, any reason you believe this, other than hating the Bengals for some reason? They've drastically improved their defense, and everyone seems to forget that Ryan freaking Fitzpatrick was their quarterback last year. Why can't the Bengals compete with the Steelers and Ravens? Everytime you get a chance, you put a laughing smiley when someone compliments the Bengals... Same thing here. Coles is not a downgrade from Housh in any way, shape, or form IMO. The O-line and running games are still question marks, but if those two show some improvement this season, they could definitely surprise some people. The D, IMO, is going to be very good. At the same time, I see nothing wrong with Bengal fans being optimistic this season. They have addressed all of their weaknesses through either Free Agency or the Draft, and have not made any bone-headed moves. What more can you, as a fan, ask for from your favorite team? You have to be kidding. Coles has been nothing close to TJ. TJ is a very good possessison reciever. If Coles were any good...well I won't even say it. Coles has never had Carson (and a healthy Carson), or anyone of that caliber throwing to him. Coles is defiantly not a downgrade. Yes he is. Believe it or not. Everyone other than Bengals fans can see it. TJ never has or never will be a 1. He is one of the best 2 outs there but he couldn't get down the field like Coles will be able to. TJ will be the 1 out in Seattle but heck their 1 was a TE named John Carson this year. If you think it was bad when Ryan was here and no protection good luck in Seattle when Matt is always on his back. Guys, this is the same ole stuff. Bengals sign someone who either is past their prime like Roy Williams or someone who got overrated and overpaid and is now a cheaper buy like Coles. Same stuff different year. I say Bengals may get to 6 wins.

May 8, 200917 yr ^ Agreed...their schedule is favorable as well...Their defense in young and improving, and their offensive line couldn't get much worse.
May 8, 200917 yr So with a better team, the Bengals will only win two more than they did with Fitzpatrick at quarterback? IF Palmer doesn't get hurt, they'll at least go .500 DEN (Win) @ GB (Loss) PIT (Loss) @ CLE (Win) @ BAL (Loss) HOU (Loss) CHI (Loss) BAL (Loss) @ PIT (Loss) @ OAK (Win) CLE (Win) DET (Win) @ MIN (Loss) @ SD (Loss) KC (Win) @ NYJ (Loss) 6-10 is my prediction. I could see them maybe winning @ NYJ and vs. Houston as well. So 8-8 is possible.
May 8, 200917 yr DEN (Win) @ GB (Loss) PIT (Loss) @ CLE (Win) @ BAL (Loss) HOU (Loss) CHI (Loss) BAL (Loss) @ PIT (Loss) @ OAK (Win) CLE (Win) DET (Win) @ MIN (Loss) @ SD (Loss) KC (Win) @ NYJ (Loss) 6-10 is my prediction. May 8, 200917 yr The lose to Minnesota and the Jets? They will lose @ Minnesota. What makes you believe they will win that game?
May 8, 200917 yr The lose to Minnesota and the Jets? The same Minnesota that went to the playoffs last year. And yes, I think they will lose to the Jets. We're talking about the Bengals aren't we?
May 8, 200917 yr I'm convinced... HB doesn't like the Bengals. I do not like the Bengals. I do not dislike the Bengals.
May 8, 200917 yr Looks like you HATE the Bengals. You are going out of your way to bash them. Posting on a message board is not going out of my way. And I'm not bashing them. I'm providing statistics and opinions as to why I do not think they will be a good team next year. Disagreeing with every Bengals fan here who thinks the Bengals will be good isn't "bashing" imo.
May 8, 200917 yr Let's talk about the trade or the Bengals. Not whether HB likes or dislikes the team. :thumb:
May 8, 200917 yr Author I do not like the Bengals. I do not dislike the Bengals. whoops, didn't see the warning.... The trade was good for the Bengals.
May 9, 200917 yr Umm, probably not. Same stuff different year. Steelers and Ravens will be bettter than them.
