Who wants free KFC?

Featured Replies

But it was free Hearsay...

You can't complain about free food.

It technically was not "free," because I had to pay 59 cents in tax and then pay another $1.51 for the unsweetened iced tea I needed to wash it down.

The biscuit, coleslaw and mashed potatos with gravy were good.

I can find anything to complain about on a rainy day.

I got a free coupon in the LHL last week, one free piece. I didn't need Oprah's handout, but I'll probably take it anyway and get another piece later.

I had it today and thought it was great. A bit pricey, but I'll go back.

I thought it was good, but the white meat was rather dry. I can't believe I used to only eat white meat, the dark meat is so much better.

You're not kidding, a sixteen piece with 4 sides and biscuits will set you back $40.

That's what I'm thinking.

Would have to agree

People who complain about free stuff never have had to worry about paying for stuff. :D Free is GOOD! :D

I wish that KFC would stick to basics.

It is really depressing when you drive through for a few pieces of regular recipe chicken and they are out, or it will be a ten minute wait, or "would you like extra crispy?" NO!!! I really like good old fashioned regular recipe.

I went to the KFC in Edgewood a tonight. I wanted to try the new grilled chicken. The line was out on the highway. I have never seen more than 2 cars in line there before. Normally, I would not wait that long, but I heard such great things about the new chicken, I waited patiently to order my KFC. I was planning on ordering the family bucket, waited 20 minutes in line only to be told they were out of breasts.:madman: Of course they would be happy to substitute fried chicken.

Keep in mind before you order there are two different menus you pass by. Putting up a sign telling us that they were out of breasts would have been nice. It would have saved me about 10 minutes in line.

I am happy for KFC that business has picked up, but am very disappointed I didnt get to try it.

The coupon's are good until May 19th, with the exception of Mother's Day on Sunday. It took me about 15 minutes to get on the website last night to print the coupon. Someone in our family will try it. I might try the KFC in Taylor Mill, since Erlanger is so backed up.

I had just left a track meet at Scott High School. Forgot about the one there until after I passed it. :ohbrother:

I went today and they gave me a raincheck, because of overwhelming demand.

FYI for those with coupons who didn't redeem them yet.....from the KFC website:

"Rain Check Policy from KFC

We are so sorry, but due to the overwhelming response to our FREE Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal coupon, we can no longer redeem the free coupon at this time. But we will honor our commitment to giving you a free Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal. Please visit a participating KFC restaurant for a rain check form. Complete the form, attach your original coupon, and give it to the KFC restaurant manager or postmark per the form's instructions, by May 19, 2009, and we'll send you a rain check for your free Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal at a later date, plus a free Pepsi with our compliments. Your participating KFC restaurant will provide you with the form you need. Please note that the redemption periods of the rain checks will vary. All other terms and conditions of the original free Kentucky Grilled Chicken coupon will apply. Thank you for your understanding,

Roger Eaton

KFC President"

I just saw a generic commercial on ESPN stating that they had overwhelming demand and describing the rain check deal.
