When the Red Sox win they play The Standells "Dirty Water", followed by "Tessie" by The Dropkick Murphys and finally "Joy to the World" by Three Dog Night. Nothing as lame as "Go Cubs Go".

I dunno, Sweet Caroline is pretty lame:lol: And I guess if you knew any of the history about the guy who wrote the song, you'd maybe appreciate it a little more. I've never met a single Cub fan who didn't like the song, nor have I met a non-Cub fan who liked it.

Long story short, the guy who wrote that Mearl Haggard song "You don't have to Call me darlin" wrote and sings the "Go Cubs Go" song. He was diagnosed with Leukimia and died from it and also right before his death he wrote a poem called "A dying Cubs fan's last request." Die hard Cub fan till his death, and I believe his ashes were spread at Wrigley. So, it's got sentimental meaning to Cubs fans.:thumb:
