I've never been one to buy into the whole "one world order" conspiracy but I have to admit this line gives me a bit of pause:

 

"In America, there's a failure to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world," Obama said. "Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges

What exactly is Europe's lead role??

President Obama also stated that Europe needs to stop the Anti American sentiments. Also the French President stated that his country owes a lot to the United States. He brought up that thousands of Americans are buried in France. He mentioned D-Day and that there is going to be a special ceremony on 6 June 09.

Although it's not a one-way street, Americans ARE arrogant and derisive of other countries, and not just European countries. Obama is right on both accounts....there is Anti-American sentiment abroad, and there is American arrogance as well.

Ummmm...did you read this forum when we were making fun of the French because of their opposition to going into Iraq? That's one instance. There's plenty more, right on this board. But all you have to do is read American comments in world news forums to get a better idea.

This is ridiculous- and dangerous. Can we blame this blunder on one of his teleprompters? We owe France no apologies. This is what happens when you put a rookie leaguer in a major league game. Personally, I neither want nor need this lightweight speaking for me.

I don't see how some people doubt this.

Obama has really been ticking me off at the G20. Why is he making the US out to be the whipping boy? We are not to blame for all the world's ills. In fact, we're one of the few countries that aids others.
