I don't know how much of a turnaround it is at OK State, they were in the Final Four five years ago, and was Big 12 Tournament Champs in 2004 and 2005

The man has never done anything wrong. What is the concern here? The trouble at UMASS had nothing to do with Cal, it was Marcus Camby taking money from an agent.

Considering Calipari got in trouble for something that really wasn't his fault and Sampson was the one calling recruits when he wasn't supposed to

I just can't help but think this will not be good for UK in the long run.

No, some people knock on Calipari, just because the guy isn't their #1 choice. Add to the fact he plays in the "worst" conference of all-time, it counts for nothing that he made it to the National Championship game and were two minutes away from winning it

This man has done nothing wrong. Are the same things said about Roy Williams or Coach K? They seem to bring in pretty nice recruits every year? Should UNC or Duke be worried?

 

Just because kids want to play for this man doesn't mean that he is a cheater. He is a enegetic guy that seems to relate well to players, that is the crime he has commited. I'm not saying that he is or isn't a dirty recruiter, but what I can say is that no one on this board has any proof. The Camby thing could have happened to anyone.

It happened to Bob Stoops a few years ago and no one says anything about him being a cheater

The Camby violations didn't have anything to do with him. His relationship with WWW has been heavily scrutinized and no wrongdoing has come from it. Sampson himself was the guy behind multiple recruiting violations and has sanctions placed against himself.

 

I guess without an overwhelming hatred towards the UK program it would be pretty hard to see the similarities. :sssh:

Because of a guy that was friends with Milt Wagner-who happens to former Memphis player DaJuan Wagner; and allegedly he is the only reason Calipari gets any recruits. It's crazy that lowly fans like us know this, but the NCAA is oblivious :ohbrother:

This would be a great hire. You talk about being a final 4 team with in 2 years. Maybe even 1 if he brings that class with him. Not sure how many scholly's UK have for next season.

Please UK make him an offer he can't refuse.
