Featured Replies

Heard this news at our game tonight. I hate to see any kid get hurt and not get to finish his high school career. Prayers and angels from all your friends here at GRC.

OH MY WOW so sorry to hear this.

Keep your head up young man and work hard to get back on the court. I thought Phares was very impressive for a big man and has a ton of upside.

Agreed,,,hated to hear this loved watching him play.

Tough blow for Richie!!!! Hopefully it is not too bad and he fully recovers to enjoy a successful college basketball career. Good luck Richie!

Tough break for a great player. I wish him a speedy recovery.

What a tough break for a fine young man. I really hate it for him. Hes probably played as well as anyone in the state this year and its sad to see it end for him early. I do believe he has a bright future ahead of him though.

Its been a tough week or so for some great seniors. Jon Hood's season ended early with his injury, Prince Stewart, who has had a great season broke his ankle (I believe) and now Phares is out.

Hope he recovers okay, I hate to see a young players high school career come to an end like this. Pray for this young man.

It always seems to happen to the best of players. Hoping he as a great, speedy recovery, and good luck to Scott Co. the rest of the way.

I hate that for this kid, he was a very solid player for Scott Co., but they still have 3 other 1st team All State type players in the starting 5. They still have more talent and depth than any other team in the state without him in the post. Good luck to him and his future, but I still think Scott Co. should win the state based on talent.:thumb:

Rotten news for the Cards and a heartbreaking end to a terrific high school career for one of the most outstanding competitors it has been my privilege to observe. Other than occasional thunder dunks, Richie is one of the most "blue collar" players I know. He just goes out night after night posting solid stats that help his team win. His absence in the paint will be huge for the Cards. He deserves serious D-I attention. I look forward to seeing him play another four seasons. :thumb:

It's time for Mr. Euton, Mr. Jackson, Mr. Guyn and company to lace 'em up and get it done.

Didn't get to comment on this yesterday cause I got busy with work but I hope Phares the best in his recovery from the injury. Initially it didn't sound as bad so I hated to hear that he had in fact tore the ACL. Keep your head up and stay positive with the rehab!

Good luck Richie with rehab. I know you will work to make the knee even stronger than it was before the injury. We at Scott CO. will miss you and your hard work. You are a joy to be around at the gym and games.:dancingpa:ylsuper::notworthy::clap::banana:

I hate to see any player go down with a serious injury, especially in their senor year. Take heart in the fact you have a career on the next level waiting for you. Best wishes on a speedy recovery!
