It is going to be a very interesting game. McFarland versus Rico Johnson has to be one of the better regional championship matchups in the state. One of those two will be the tourney MVP, depending on which team wins. Rebounding and turnovers determine the winner.

 

If Boone can take care of the ball (Gabbard should handle that) and rebound with Holmes, they have a chance. Boone definitely has the talent and the defense to win. They have to rebound and stop second chance points. Push the ball on offense for baskets in transition. Boone will have trouble scoring in the half court sets because so much of their game is inside. They need someone to step up and hit a couple outside shots to loosen things up on the inside.

 

On the other end, Holmes needs to be patient, work for the good shots and play under control. If they listen to Henley and follow the game plan, their talent should carry them to victory. Both teams are playing great defense right now.

One thing Boone Co has going into this is the confidence that they can beat the Dogs. I think they have the talent to do it as well but I dont think the Dogs will allow it this time around.

Not if he handles it like he did today at times. I was really surprised at some of the silly turnovers he had. I love his game though, he can really put pressure on the defense with his dribble penetration. He also can jump out of the gym. I was watching him in warmups dunk with ease and throw down a pretty cool reverse. He has to be maybe 6'0 at best.

I agree. Gabbard will be key for Boone in this game because honestly I don't see Boone being able to hold Rico and Riley both down this time around. Riley is what makes Holmes go though.
