March 7, 200917 yr Author Nothing more.:thumb: Did you also notice in his "speech" the other night that no mention was ever made of the private sector's role in bringing the economy back to health?:thumb:
March 7, 200917 yr Author Soooo....you want answers? I'm digging for examples of your questions. I'm happy to consider the legitimacy of your ire. I'm just in need of specific examples of your assertions. I'm trying. I need more...Again, just look back at his speeches, it's there.
March 7, 200917 yr Again, just look back at his speeches, it's there. Again, I'm not seeing what you see, obviously. Examples of what is shaping your perception would be helpful.

March 7, 200917 yr It ain't there ... unless you subscribe to the right-wing talking points. Talking points? So far his economic policies have been about as well received as a fart in an elevator. Earmarks by the dozens, and money, which we will pay, for ACORN. Health care reform that he plans to pay for with the elimination of the deduction of mortgage interest and reducing the deduction for charitable contributions from 100% to 28%. So if you make less than the bad guys that make $250k a year and you deduct you mortgage interest, deduct charitable contributions, or use tobacco you will pay more in taxes. You guys might want to spit out the hook before you are reeled in, gutted, and fileted.
March 7, 200917 yr I guess approval levels in the upper 60's is a fart in an elevator.....RTS wants examples of something that isn't there but can't answer a related question about the fact that the class divide grew much wider under his parties control. What purpose does this serve? RTS are you for widening the class divide while a few prosper while the vast majority of working peoples lives as they know them are going down the drain?

And this is the fault of wealthy people???
March 7, 200917 yr And this is the fault of wealthy people??? Usually, since they're the ones who get rich off the backs of the poor. They're usually all for having working people sacrifice when economic times are hard, but are not interested in sharing in the sacrifice. See: CEO compensation.
March 7, 200917 yr And this is the fault of wealthy people??? In some cases yes it is. When jobs are shipped overseas because of cheap labor to increase dividends a few pennies a share. They increase thier personal wealth as major shareholders while ruining the lives of regular working people. This is just one example and please forgive me for feeling that multi-millionaires can afford to pay a little more in taxes. I know some of the ideas of the left are hard to take but IMO a progressive tax structure is not unreasonable and since this was one of the major topics of the campaign I think the majority of Americans agree.
March 7, 200917 yr His speeches? What more do we need? I'm not sure if that is a specific example that anyone can work with .

The ones you choose to blame are also the ones that create the jobs in this country.
March 7, 200917 yr The ones you choose to blame are also the ones that create the jobs in this country. How are they creating jobs if they're shipping them overseas?

You guys might want to spit out the hook before you are reeled in, gutted, and fileted. Koun Dog, I'd suggest you do a little digging and get past Hannity for your information. ACORN gets zero out of the recent bill. In 2011, families earning over $250k will have their charitable contribution deduction reduced from the CURRENT rate of 33% to 28%. If you're under $250k, nothing changes. So, 5% of the families in America will have their rate reduced. That's it. Regarding mortgage interest, once again your post is misleading. As far as I can tell 95% of Americans that get to claim that deduction today will get to claim it tomorrow without change. The families paying 33% or 35% today in federal tax will have their deduction capped at 28%. Now if you're in the $250k+ level then you will have to pay a bit more. Otherwide, President Obama's plan doesn't effect you and can hardly be classified as "class warfare." If you or RTS have real examples, lets get them out and debate them. Heck, you might be right. So far though...
