It is my recollection that Hee-Haw was not a spin-off of, but was inspired by Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In. I was always a Laugh-In guy, but it seems really dated when I watch now.

Verrry Interesting thread................but schtupid!

When you were an early teen, Hee Haw was your TV version of Playboy Magazine.

I chose Hee Haw b/c when I was little my nana and pawpaw would watch this every time I went to visit them. It brings back memories just hearing the name.

Hee Haw was great! RFDTV has brought it back. It comes on Sunday nights at 8:00. The skits are just as funny now as they were when I was a kid.

Please don't make me choose!:isurrender:

I was thinking the same thing. :thumb:

Laugh-In. My dad was a die hard fan of both, but even at my very tender toddler and pre-teen ages, I preferred Laugh-In.

But, Flip Wilson was a serious contender to both.

Hey, when I saw a thread extolling the virtues of "Saved by the Bell" not long ago, I knew I had to take action.
